Situation: Tu Vishan has made landfall on Siaxhi, to explore the Dreaming Watch City of Valishaera.

As Tu Vishan draws near, the heavy jungle visible even from miles out quickly identifies the landmass as Siaxhi, one of the westernmost continents in Konryu and one that has been largely untouched insofar as the kedan themselves have gone. There is a natural inlet along the southeast shore on the continent and Tu Vishan makes for that, though he fills nearly all of it.

"I don't mind doing it to save my life, but I'd like to know I can do it without magic," Zelgadis said. "There was a period where powers didn't work on the Turtle, about a year ago, so it's also good planning."

The grin on his face says Hal approves.

"So I'm no Aquaman, but want some pointers?"

Even if they weren't familiar with Arthur, there was enough contextual clues to understand what he was saying.

"Sure. Let's hear it."

Hal considers how he's going to go about this, but decides against just explaining. He strips down to his boxers and leaves his clothes in a messy pile before he dives into the water.

"I'm more of a hands on type of guy." He says in way of explanation. "The first thing you need to know is that the human body is fairly buoyant... you are human, right?"

He really should of known better than to assume right away, but he'd been getting lax considering most of the foreigners he'd seen around were humans.

"At the moment," Zelgadis said. "This is a human body. And I was born fully human. It's a long story."

But he could understand the concern. His own world had plenty of people who only looked human, though it also had people who were obviously non-human.

At the moment was good enough. He's seen a lot of weird things, what's one more. It's not like he had a leg to stand on.

"So that makes things easier. As long as you've got air in your lungs you're going to float so no need to be scared and once you're over that, that's most of the work done."

Hmm, fear and overcoming it. This was becoming a trend for him just because he was a Green Lantern.

"Yeah. I figure once it sinks in that I'm not going to actually sink..." Zelgadis said. But training out instincts that were actually functional is not that easy. After all, unlike many humans, Zelgadis did usually sink like a stone in water, and had experiences like that. At least the water felt different now; he could feel the buoyancy in his limbs even wading.
