[He could absolutely use acting lessons: he can't lie his way out of a paper bag. Not that he'd ever admit it.]

It's not a secret anymore. Not here, anyway. I figured out pretty quickly that too many people knew the other versions of me, [he agrees ruefully.] And, I mean, I showed up in the armor, so it would have been pretty hard to keep it a secret anyway. It's kind of nice, not having to hide it, actually. Makes my life a little easier. A secret identity is a pain in the ass.

[Tony barely even notices the infringing hair - he just instinctively turns the ship a little, scooting it out of harm's way. He's spent enough time in the lab with Pepper leaning over his shoulder and poking at things that such adjustments are second nature.

He's investigated the power core to his satisfaction now, and he looks up at Korra. ] This is what the other Tony had in his heart?!

[Korra peeks up at Tony, a smile on her face. She never thought much of secret identities being a thing on Tu Vishan, not when she had the exact opposite on her own world.]

Yup. Well, his was a little bigger than that one. But yeah, you could see it glowing under his shirt sometimes.

...You really don't have one?

[She peers down as if it suddenly going to glow now that she's there to see in person.]

[Tony shakes his head.] I did for a while, until Extremis repaired my heart. But mine was... Sort of a much, much simpler version of this. It ran off the some of the same fundamental tech as what I used to power my suits, but nowhere near as powerful. I don't know why you would put one of these in your chest - that's like putting a fusion reactor engine in a Hot Wheels car. Yeah, it'll run your heart - for about a thousand years. Jeez. Talk about overkill.

Be lucky you don't have to. Pair that with a beard and alcohol and I might end up with another drunken console conversation about tribble whispering.

[No, she's not joking. Not with that face.]

But the Tony that had the armor after Extremis? He didn't drink, and neither do you; so that's kind of a record.

[Why with the alcoholism again. Other Tony, why.]

You know, I'm not even sure I can get drunk. [Short of, like, drinking an entire bottle of Everclear.] Extremis would metabolize alcohol really fast. I haven't put it to the test yet, but I think I'd have to work pretty hard at it.

[Snarky Tony ala MCU she has no idea, Cool Tony 616 flavored being alcohol free? Kind of awesome, except:]

Is that so? Maybe you should see the Enterprise fly at the Brazen Turtle. But the hard drinks can only be given to anyone seventeen or older.

[She gives him a look up and down.]

And either you're around that age or Extremis made you look older.

[Tony grins.] I turned eighteen the day I got here. So, what, you want to test my alcohol tolerance?

[He's been so busy with Iron Man and school, he hasn't been out partying since... Well, since after the plane crash. And then it was less about fun, and more about smothering his pain by getting wasted. Oh, whoops, there's the nascent alcoholism! Not a period of his life he's especially fond of looking back on.

But Korra seems really cool, and going to a bar for weird alien drinks and messing around with the Enterprise does sound kind of fun. If she's serious, he might be able to be convinced.

But before they take the Enterprise anywhere for a test flight, he has to fix it.] Oh, here, I think I see your problem. Looks like some of the wiring got a little corroded. That's an easy fix; should only take me a couple minutes. It doesn't look like anything's wrong with the power core, though I'll double-check once I've replaced a couple of these components.

[She smirks. That's an interesting challenge, and Korra's not about to turn one down; not even for something abnormal like a high resistance to alcohol.]

You've clearly never had a Waterbender in you. [Maybe she should clarify that statement, but she's easily distracted to the Enterprise. It is one her personal objects of affection.]

That's great! I can pay for the wires and labor. [She's serious...]

Do I want to know what that means? [Tony asks, half-jokingly. What's a water bender and why would he have one inside him? What does that mean? Is this some kind of pick-up line? What is going on.

He waves off her concern about compensation.] No way, don't worry about it. It's nothing. If we do go to the... Brazen Turtle, you can buy me a drink. Or some chili cheese fries.

I'll do both. But it can be on the house, it's what Jim did when he took over the bar. Let every foreigner get a free drink, I'll just add a meal on top of it.

[And she works there. Korra chides herself for not mentioning that part sooner.]

The Waterbender's a unique drink, it's the strongest one of they have. A sip of it will knock practically anyone on their butt. Anyone.

[After saying that, she takes the briefest glimpse at the ground as her eyebrows rise up. Someone's one had one before.]

Tempting. [On the other hand, he's not terribly keen on lending credence to the alcoholism gossip.] But I might just stick with the cheese fries. We'll see.

[He starts picking out tools and supplies and goes to work.]

So you work there? You do bartending at home, or is that a hobby you've picked up here?

[After seeing her friend under the influence of alcohol, she's not going to force that challenge. Korra's Maturity: +1]

Nah, my hobby's in another sector. [Her cheek rises up as does one eyebrow.] The tavern might actually be mine. I'll have to check Jim's paperwork and see if that's the case.

[Not even a question in her mind as to whether or not Jim Kirk had a contingency plan for everything.]

I'm a bartender and barback for the other bartenders if they need the help.

[Tony's still considering taking her up on it. Tony's Maturity: -1]

So you... accidentally own a bar? [Tony asks, smiling and raising his own eyebrow.] What's your hobby? Accidentally running a casino? Accidentally drag racing?

[Korra gives an unsure, half shrug at possibly owning a bar. That's going to be something new.]

Purposely running a dojo isn't the most popular hobby, so don't judge me too harshly.

[She points at him, a toothless grin on her face.]

But those hobbies do sound interesting. I might try to fall into them.

[Except the drag racing will be a one time thing after she totals the car.]

Running a do-what? [You're going to have to enlighten the extremely sheltered white boy, Korra.]

I hope you don't start a casino, you'd have to kick me out for card-counting.

And that better be the only thing I kick you out for. [But her sly grin at that becomes amused.]

A dojo is a place for physical training. Mostly for martial arts. Not too long after I got here, the person running it trained me further in what I already knew. She also taught me new forms and I got to work on them more with someone else.

Now I run the dojo. Lessons are cheap if you're interested. [She says to the teen that inherited Keeliai's biggest company.]

[He doesn't even try to card count - he just can't help it.]

Oh, yeah? [He took some basic self-defense classes when he was younger, but he hasn't had any martial-arts-y training since donning the mantle of Iron Man. He'd never had the time. It was hard enough fighting supervillains and getting his history homework done - he didn't have a whole lot of time for extracurriculars.] Maybe I'll check it out. [Maybe he'll pick up some sweet ninja moves like Gene has.]

So do you teach the lessons? If I show up, are you going to be the one kicking my ass?

I have a few openings as a personal trainer in-between my class schedule. But you can always pick a different teacher if it's not for you.

[Her grin carries in her voice.]

If you care about who kicks your ass into shape. I trained all my current staff. Well, except the one that trains the youngest class.

Well... I guess it depends on if you can take what I can dish out. [Tony gives her a cocky grin. It's just friendly boasting - but not entirely without basis. He may not have training or technique, but he does have experience, and Extremis. When he hits, he hits hard. And he's no lightweight when it comes to taking hits, either.]

[TONY, NO.

She is absolutely the most horrible when it comes to challenges, even if they're friendly.]

Bring it. I'll even make the first lesson and sparring match free.

[Korra has guns, and she's not afraid to show both of them.]

Still grinning, Tony raises his eyebrows.] All right, it's on. [Oh, this should be fun. Punch him, it's how men say hello.

He turns his attention back to the Enterprise and makes some final adjustments.] Okay, I think that does it. Let's give it a try. [He retrieves the pile of small screws from Korra and starts putting the model back together.]

[Jazzed at the chance to finally take on another foreigner student, Korra leans back as Tony puts it together.]

It runs on verbal commands, but you probably could tell when you looked inside. Try it out.

[Tony eyes the reconstructed model. He's not sure what to tell it to do. Fly figure eights? Seek out new life and new civilizations? Jokingly, he says,] Warp factor five, Mister Sulu.

[Korra bit her lips to keep from smiling too much.

The ship lifts up into the air and stays still for a moment. Then to zooms in a straight line forward, enough to leave tracers behind it, and loops around to come right back where it was.]

I haven't figured out all the commands yet, I just know the basic ones and a couple of the ones Jim told me.

[Tony laughs, surprised and amused, when the ship actually reacts to the command.] That's pretty neat. What are the commands you know? What else does it do?
