February Catch-All
Characters: Obi-Wan Kenobi and YOU!
Date: All of February
Location: Keeliai and Tavimbi
Situation: Getting to know you and Landfall!
Warnings/Rating: None that I can think of?
Obi-Wan is still somewhat adjusting to things here on Keeliai. So the fact that the giant turtle makes landfall on a continent is surprising and piques his curiosity.
He can be found either wandering around the streets of Keeliai or Tavimbi. Willing to talk to just about anybody. Especially the Kedan and the Tavimbi natives.
Upon sensing a power that is not unlike the Force within Tavimbi, which he comes to know as the Xunutane, he will make checking that out his highest priority.
Feel free to find him just about anywhere!

But surely his confession must have filled Obi-Wan with disappointment. He failed his master and himself. And in a way, even his mother. She would not have approved of the slaughter. Through all the pain and torture she still held onto a pure-hearted goodness. Something Anakin obviously lacked.
"When we go back ... you will tell the Council?" He spoke his words with a heavy sigh being both a question and a statement.
He assumed Obi-Wan would feel it necessary, to turn him over for his actions. A dark secret like that one could not be looked upon lightly. Even Anakin knew that much.

"It's too late for that. The Council and the Jedi Order are no more."
The words fell from his lips before Obi-Wan really had a chance to think about it.

Emotions of guilt and regret melded into ones of anger. What happened to the Jedi? What is Obi-Wan talking about? The questions screamed rabidly in his mind and other than his first response he didn't know where to start. His mind struggles to put it all together.
He tries to hold it together. Keep his emotions in check, but he senses no deception from the elder Jedi. But still, he could be mistaken right? That small glimmer of hope remained. That Obi-Wan was wrong. Or mistaken.
His earlier thoughts of his confession were now lost to this new revelation. The more he learns, the more he does not want to know.

"It was Palpatine. He was behind everything. The corruption in the Senate, the war, the clones, everything. It was all a plot to take control of the galaxy and destroy the Jedi. He's the Sith Lord that we had been looking for. The clone troopers turned against me and the others. Many Jedi were killed and you turned to the Dark Side. With the clones you attacked the temple and slaughtered everyone, even the Younglings."
He regretted it as soon as he had spoken. This was not the way he would have given Anakin this news, but he was unable to stop himself.

And him? Turning to the darkside?
Anakin took a step back. The emotions overloaded his mind, swelling it with fear, confusion and other thoughts.
"No. No. You're mistaken. That would never happen. I -- No. Palpatine is my friend he'd never turn on us. And I would never --" He wanted to explode. Call Obi-Wan a liar. Scream at him to stop making things up.
Why would he say this? Why?
"This isn't true. You're simply mistaken. Confused. That's all," he continued, trying to justify everything said. It was the only way his mind could make sense of it all. The only way he could cope with what he was just told.
"Everything is fine. You'll see when we get back. This place, it has corrupted your mind somehow."

"I only wish that were true."
This said softly in response. If only he was mistaken, or confused, or anything else. Anything but that nightmare he had to live through. But thankfully Anakin didn't ask any more questions. Perhaps it was time to stop before he did. Thus Obi-Wan rose to his feet, careful to keep his cloak wrapped around him so that Anakin's Lightsaber couldn't be seen.
"I'm sorry, Anakin. I really have said too much. Stay here, I'll be going to Hatal for a few days. I need to be alone."
He needed to wait this virus out before he did any more damage.

Finally taking a step back he collapsed into a chair. The burden of this new knowledge was far too much for him. Holding his head with both his hands, he stared at the floor and waited for Obi-Wan to leave. He needed to think about everything and what he was going to do next.
For now he'll just stay in the room for a few days until he can gather his thoughts.
Though later when Obi-Wan finally returns after the virus is over he'll probably find several pieces of furniture broken out of general frustration.
