Situation: Tu Vishan continues swimming along the ocean floor after his monumental dive, but it turns out there are a whole bunch of undead that want in on the party!
Warnings/Rating: Underwater situations, violence, potential gore; to be updated as noted.

[ His mail suit rustles and clanks as he moves, swinging the heavy broadsword with astonishing speed. He takes note of the arrows -- they're rather hard to miss -- but he knows the jiangshi are tenacious, that they are not slowed as easily as the living. He barely misses a beat after the first arrow comes, swinging his sword to chop heavily at the jiangshi's limbs. He lets out a little grunt of effort with every blow, taking off one arm, then the head, then across the torso --

The jiangshi falls to the ground, a scattered mass of still-writhing limbs, from which Mandorallen quickly backs away before they can get a hold on him. He casts a glance in the direction from where the arrows came, looking for his unseen helper. ]

Thou hast my gratitude for thy help, friend archer! But as thou canst plainly see, these foul creatures are not so easily defeated. Now come, quickly -- before more arrive. Even dismembered, they are dangerous. It is my understanding that single bite can be fatal.

I'm not your friend! [Katniss shouts back on automatic, once she deciphers what the hell this strange man was actually saying. Hyperaware of her surroundings, she can still admit to herself that it's probably safer to be close to the guy who can chop the mutts to pieces than otherwise. Reluctantly, she starts walking towards him]

How else do they die?

[ Mandorallen is patient with her, doesn't bother arguing the friend point. There's no time for that on the battlefield. He moves to meet Katniss halfway, just as interested in getting away from the writhing body parts as he is in being closer to a potential comrade. ]

I have heard tell that fire is the only way to truly defeat them, but I am no sorcerer. And fire can spread -- and, I fear, most likely would, if born of natural causes.

[Her expression tights, eyes glancing at her scarred hands before centring back on this weird shiny man.] Great. Of course it would be fire. [She rubs a hand across an eye] You don't think that maybe right now our choices are 'almost definitely get eaten by mutts' or 'maybe get burnt'?

If thou likest not thy options, thou canst always retreat.

[ He offers it casually, almost with a shrug, as he steps up to her, his mail suit clanking and clinking all the way. He's a little red-faced -- obviously, he's been fighting these things a while. ]

My suite is well-fortified, and protected from these foul creatures. If thy body is weary from battle, I will gladly take thee there.

[It's taking Katniss a couple of seconds to parse what he's saying, and that coupled with her panic about Peeta only makes her more frustrated] I'm saying that we should set them on fire.

[She can practically ear her teeth grinding, her jaw is clenched so hard] They're stronger and faster, and they can open doors. how is your suite well fortified, exactly?

I have experience dealing with such creatures. Have faith, friend.

[ It doesn't occur to him that his barricades might fail. He's a little too confident, sometimes. ]

And how wouldst thou propose we set these beasts aflame?

I'm not y-- [She breaks off, rolling her eyes. Now's not exactly the place]

There are store around here, one of them has to sell something flammable. [Her mind is racing, taking in her surroundings and what she has at hand that can be used as a weapon] Rags soaked in it tied to my arrows. You only need a spark after that, and it can be done from a distance. [One hand rubbing over the old burn scars on the other indicate that she would really rather prefer to do that from a distance.]

[ Hmm. It's a dangerous move, but then, dangerous moves are all they have to them. Mandorallen gives Katniss an appraising look before he straightens up, lifting his blade. ]

The beasts are fleet of foot, dangerously slow. Thou art nimble, but in the time it would take thee to notch thy next arrow -- or even assemble one that could be lit aflame -- they would surely be upon thee. I will take thy guard, and keep them at bay whilst thou makest thine attack.
