Situation: Tu Vishan continues swimming along the ocean floor after his monumental dive, but it turns out there are a whole bunch of undead that want in on the party!

[Now that's... something he didn't expect. He was seconds away from reaching for his tie and undoing his shirt to show the S-shield under it, and now instead he finds himself kind of trapped between the street and... Captain America.]

Uh, no. I'm unharmed so far- what are you doing in here Captain!? The could bite you.

[He shakes sweat out of his eyes, grim.] I'll deal with that when and if it happens. Right now we need to get you out of here.

[Steve what the hell if you get hurt protecting someone who doesn't actually need it he will never forgive himself-]

I am fine! I can- there's probably someone out there who needs you way more than I do, sir.

[There's a brief lull as the things fall back a few steps, but Steve keeps his shield up regardless. He glances at Clark, quizzical.] If I didn't know better I'd say you were trying to get rid of me, sir. Does the other end of the alley look clear?

I'm trying to avoid you getting hurt, sir. [Said between his teeth. He isn't angry at Steve, not by a long mile but sometimes it's frustrating how little people listen to Clark Kent.

Not that he blames them, he'd do the same.] IT does look clear- if I run away that direction, will you make sure you stay safe as well?

If you run in that direction, I'll escort you to a secure location, Mr. Kent. [He's backing up, keeping himself between Clark and the monsters and his shield between the monsters and himself.] I'm not really concerned about injury at the moment.

[andaway]

[It takes Clark a lot of willpower to refrain from just growling but for now the best course of action was to try to get to safety. If Steve was sure Clark was safe he would focus his attention on something else and Clark would also be able to just fly away and go back to saving people.]

Let's just go then. [And running he does, looking behind to check if he's following.] My house should be safe, and my wife will be there waiting for me. It isn't far.

[Steve backs a short distance away from the encroaching mob before he turns to run just behind Clark.]

If you're sure it's secure. I can escort you both to the palace if necessary.

[Steve stop being a boy scott is that how it feels from the outside?!]

I'm sure it's secure, and if it's needed we will find our way to the palace ourselves. [He glances at him.] I was a war correspondent, I traveled around the world before I ever became a journalist. I might not be able to face the zombies up-front but I will be fine.

There are people who are far worse off out there, Captain.

[Probably, yes. Steve puts a hand out for Clark to stop, checking the intersection before he directs the man to cross it.] I'm not going to argue the point. I'll look for others once you're safe, sir.

[By 'not going to argue the point' he mostly means 'I DO WHAT I WANT, CLARK.']

[Don't you get cocky with him mister. He starts running towards the suit he was given, hoping Lois will be already there. She'd told him she'd stay inside but one never knew with a Lane.]

I... don't want to seem ungrateful. I still appreciate what you're doing for us, sir.
