Situation: Tu Vishan makes landfall at the winterbound republic of Bresilyk!

The starting point of landfall and the smallest port of importance in all the republic. All visitors will have a fish mark stamped on their tin visa if they are granted access here. The homes here are sturdy and built to withstand the harsh sea winds, though the dome has rendered their sturdiness largely irrelevant as the years pass. Fish represent the primary theme of food, with preserved and smoked renditions a commodity often sent for trade to others towns. Local authorities will ask for the tin card visa of each visitor upon first sight, verifying the information with some scrutiny before handing it back and allowing them to continue onwards. There are some auctions held here, with the items obtained often showing signs of recovery from the ocean floor by diving parties in search of fish to net.

[ Dec 6th, Day #4.

At a corner of one of the feasting tables, Spock sits with his over-sized gift basket with a half-eaten seaweed wrap on a discarded plate, far more interested in investigating the three-piece crystal globe. The stuffed animals are cheerily dotted around him and the candy is entirely untouched. Even though he isn't talking to any of the merry-makers, he appears more than content where he is, dissecting the puzzle-come-model. ]

[Darcy wandered over with a plate of her own. Fish wasn't her first choice of food, but she was hungry and not very picky. She almost passed by Spock entirely, but the stuffed animals were hard to miss. She stopped and took a better look at them, and then saw who it was sitting with them. She snorted and looked at him with a smirk.]

Those are cute.

You may have one, if you wish. I have no need of them.

[ There are so darn many of the stuffed toys, after all, and if she can find enjoyment in them then as a human it will benefit her well-being. ]

[She takes a seat without invitation and looks closer at the basket of stuffed animals.]

Why'd you get them, then? Or were they some kind of present?

They were a gift from the natives, I do not know why. If they please you, you may select one for your own; and help yourself to the candy. I cannot ingest it, you may as well may good use of it.

[She looks over the basket at him with a look of mock horror.]

You're joking, right? You can't eat candy?

Vulcans do not joke. I cannot eat sucrose, especially the kind inherent in such snacks.

Damn. No offense, but I'm really glad I'm not Vulcan, then. Sugar is delicious.

[There is very little food that isn't fish, so Clark has resigned himself to waiting until he gets back to the turtle for eating. It's not like he really needs it as long as there's sunlight every day, but it's always been more of a psychological thing for him.

Still, if anyone asked he would have to admit it was the candy that catches his attention at first, and not the puzzle.]

That looks interesting. [He motions towards the puzzle as he pushes his glasses up. He sits by Spock, a little bag full of ready-to-give gifts at his side.] Having any luck with it?

[ Glancing up, he demonstrates how the pieces fit together. ]

Certainly. It appears to be some kind of map, are you familiar with it?

[Clark is very familiar with aerial views for obvious reasons, but he isn't familiar enough with Konryu to recognize a map of the place at the first look.]

No, but it's obviously somewhere surrounded by water... and it looks old.

[ A nod is given thoughtfully to the crystal orb, then to the stranger. ]

I do not believe we have met; I am Commander Spock of the starship Enterprise.

I have heard about you, Commander. [He says, holding out a hand. Mentioning he talked to another Spock once feels kind of rude.]

My name is Clark Kent. ...Of Earth, I guess.

So dude, I like, never got a straight answer whether you're cosplaying or for real that Star Trek guy.

[Yes, hello Spock, meet one Leo Valdez walking straight at you, ignoring how immersed you look, and just dumping that on you; you're welcome.

Leo's talked to the former Spock and while he's aware that that guy isn't around anymore, he never really did find out if he was actual Spock or, just, like, a super hard-core fan. He's actually beginning to think it's the former, which makes him feel like he's been kind of a jerk the whole time they conversed.

But since he's caught up with Spock again, he concludes that now is the best time to set the record straight once and for all. He stares at the other man with a serious, determined look, a streak of oil still visible on one cheek, bouncing slightly on the balls of his feet because he can't stay still for too long.]

I do not believe we have been introduced. [ To start them off, since he's a little bewildered by the attention. ] If you are referring to the fictional counterparts in alternate realities where 'Star Trek' is a television series, I am already aware of that iteration of myself.

But I am not ... cosplaying.

Oh, yeah. [He gives a short, almost distracted wave.] Leo Valdez, a.k.a. Supersized Swag Master McShizzle. You can call me Swag-bro, for short. We kind of met before, though I guess you don't remember now.

[Which is great, because he won't have to explain and/or apologize for that part where he mentioned he's not a huge Star Trek fan.]

Well! [He claps his hands together.] Now that I've clarified that, guess I'll need to apologize to your friend Kirk, too. He was like, super scandalized when I accused you two of cosplaying, though I think his mind went to the kinky kind of cosplaying instead, which was way off from what I meant.

I was here once before but it does appear I have re-entered this anomaly from a later time-line, Mr. Valdez.

[ Swag-bro is something you have to work up to, kid. Even Jimbo doesn't get that much respect, psh!! ]

Yeah, like doing the down and dirty while wearing costumes of popular characters, if you get what I mean. But hey, ask El Capitán Kirk if you want to learn more about it; it's not really my thing, you know? [A shrug!

But then a thoughtful look crosses his face at that.] Though you know, I've always wondered how it's possible to get yanked back from an entirely different time-line, or even an alternate universe. It just doesn't make sense.

[ Erk, he'd rather not ever have to bring that subject up with Jim. ON TO MORE IMPORTANT THINGS. ]

[Clara grins when she sees the person she's been looking for. For a tall pointy-eared guy with a funny haircut, he was somehow rather difficult to spot. Even when surrounding by stuffed animals. She walks over and sits down next to one of the stuffed animals. There is a small box in her hands.]

Made some new friends I see. Very cute.

I fail to see how inanimate objects could be counted as friends. [ He nods to the box. ] Another purchase?

I dunno. When I was a kid I was pretty sure my stuffed toys could speak to me.

[She is a girl who fought tooth and nail to win a stuffed animal back after all. But she shakes his head when he nods at the box.]

I made this one. For you. It's not much, and I know you'll tell me it wasn't necessary, but it's the least I can do.

[She hands the box to him. She knows Spock doesn't consider her indebted to him or think much of his purchase of the book on her behalf but it meant the world to her. And she can't just let it go without at least making the efforts she can to thank him.]

[ He straightens a little when she presents the gift, head tilting like an uncertain bird. ]

That was not necessary, but thank you.

[ Opening the box ... ]

[She laughs and rubs at her nose before pointedly looking down at her knees. Inside the box are small yellow cakes, each cut into a perfect square to be eaten. There appears to be honey on top.]

I did promise I would make you sweets without sugar. And it seemed like a proper time to present them to you.

[ He stares at the cakes for a moment; their scent is pleasant and not overly sweet, something he can enjoy in the comfort of his own home. Closing the box, he offers her a small nod. ]

It was thoughtful of you to attend to my dietary requirements.
