The starting point of landfall and the smallest port of importance in all the republic. All visitors will have a fish mark stamped on their tin visa if they are granted access here. The homes here are sturdy and built to withstand the harsh sea winds, though the dome has rendered their sturdiness largely irrelevant as the years pass. Fish represent the primary theme of food, with preserved and smoked renditions a commodity often sent for trade to others towns. Local authorities will ask for the tin card visa of each visitor upon first sight, verifying the information with some scrutiny before handing it back and allowing them to continue onwards. There are some auctions held here, with the items obtained often showing signs of recovery from the ocean floor by diving parties in search of fish to net.

The Aihsohlow port is the only access to Bresilyk along the length of its southern White Wall and therefore the customs pier is quite active from day to day. There are a dozen officers employed in the processing of imports/exports and visas, with half operating during the day and the other half providing night service so that there is no time in which a visitor or businessperson is met with a closed process. They are intense with their questioning, but not overly aggressive about it; the republic welcomes trade and seeks to protect itself, not drive away commerce. There is a central storage room in which all customs gifts are stored until they can be provided to the gifting officials and they are very firm on the policy of "no gift, no access" to Aihsohlow. Those that are approved are provided with a tin card that is subsequently stamped with the date and a small fish mark -- this becomes the visitor's visa for any visit to Bresilyk, with additional stamps made as they return or visit other settlements.

The lay of streets and buildings in Aihsohlow are concentric, radiating out from the central port docks and to the outermost line of the dome that protects it from the worst of weather and other threats. Construction here is sturdy and designed to weather storms, a risk negated in the post-dome era, but maintained for tradition's sake. Older buildings show signs of multiple layers of once-bright paint that was worn away by age and elements before being painted anew in whatever shade was most available. The climate within the city is maintained only a few degrees above the outdoors, with residents commonly seen in their warmest clothes as they go about their business. Wares here relate most to oceangoing pursuits and fish is the culinary theme, served with hot beers imported from around the republic. Purpose is a strong theme here and the kedan mostly stay to this port, pleased with how effective its residents are.

The divers and fishermen of Aihsohlow are exception at salvaging strange and unique items from the ocean waters and deep caves that run beneath the town, allowing the port to provide perhaps the largest quantity of auction lots from day to day. It is not uncommon to hear the auctioneers boast of a ten-lot minimum each day, a boast backed up by the translucent aqua bulletin board installed at the auction house's entryway and updated daily with the current lots and next days queued up ones. The lead auctioneers speak swiftly here, even for auctioneers, as they are eager to process one lot and work to the next. Many parents and children attend the auctions, seeking out household wares and useful tools that may have been salvaged from wrecks, not to mention desiring toys that will entertain the little ones.

Citizens are happy to indulge in the Harvest Haul, giving out tidbits such as dried fish, repaired nets, and a variety of homemade ropes and ties. The nightly festivities are held on the docks, with metal floating barges anchored in the harbour and hosting the bonfires that receive offerings of dried seaweed and flowers. Dances are held in the presence of live musicians that play a variety of woodwind instruments at a medium pace that allows for simple dances without claiming all of one's energy within the first hour. The feasts are affordable and held in the streets, with admission paid for and promoted at each corner before giving access to roasted fish, boiled shellfish, and a variety of hearty broths designed to keep the body warm in the coolest night.

Few stray animals are seen wandering the streets, but there are dozens of different fish species and other marine life in the waters, each and every one adapted to the low temperatures. Older residents are often seen scattering dried seaweed off the edge of the pier and holding the occasional one-sided conversation with the schools that surface for the feeding. Aihsohlow itself is mostly clean, but there is a fishy smell that permeates everything here.
