Situation: Tu Vishan makes landfall at the winterbound republic of Bresilyk!

The starting point of landfall and the smallest port of importance in all the republic. All visitors will have a fish mark stamped on their tin visa if they are granted access here. The homes here are sturdy and built to withstand the harsh sea winds, though the dome has rendered their sturdiness largely irrelevant as the years pass. Fish represent the primary theme of food, with preserved and smoked renditions a commodity often sent for trade to others towns. Local authorities will ask for the tin card visa of each visitor upon first sight, verifying the information with some scrutiny before handing it back and allowing them to continue onwards. There are some auctions held here, with the items obtained often showing signs of recovery from the ocean floor by diving parties in search of fish to net.

Miss Elizabeth? [Hey, if she thinks calling him that is cute, then he'll use similar formality in response. Of course, that look on her face has him a little wary, too - like she's got something planned, and it probably involves him, and he might not like it very much.]

[It's adorable, a term of endearment. It's... kinda her version of calling your father 'daddy' when you want something. In this case, she certainly did.]

I am! It's wonderful out here. Unlike anyplace I've ever been, or even read about! And you?

[washitaway]

[Eventually, he'll pick up on this subtlety.]

It's real nice. I like the food. [It's a little crowded for his taste, but he'll always be wary of big crowds. That's just his paranoia.]

[beunbroken]

[By then it will actually be daddy.]

It's great. [She beams.] Will you dance with me, Mr. DeWitt? [She holds out her hand. It's tiiiime. She's going to ask him every time until he agrees.]

[washitaway]

[And there it is. Great.]

You are gonna keep asking that until I say yes, aren't you?

[beunbroken]

Why wouldn't I? [She asks, her eyes full of all the mischief a nineteen-year-old should have.] C'mon! It'll be fun!

[washitaway]

[It's not so much the fact that she keeps asking him and he knows she won't stop until he gives in - really, it's not. What really makes him finally agree is the look on her face - that happy, hopeful look, the one he likes to see so much. Knowing all he has to do is say yes and it'll only brighten into something joyous - that's what gets him to acquiesce.]

Oh, all right.

[beunbroken]

[She lets out a small squeal of excitement, rushing forward to wrap him in a hug.] Eeee! Thank you, Booker! Oh, you're the best, thank you! [She's all laughter and energy as she pulls back and grabs his hand to lead him to the dance floor.

Her feet hardly touch the ground in her excitement.]

[washitaway]

[It does put a smile on his face, something he's always been in short supply of. But her happiness is infectious, and Booker's disinclined to do anything to burst her pretty little bubble, so he keeps his tone light.]

I'll do my best not to step on your toes.

[beunbroken]

You won't step on them, [She tells him.] I've seen you on your feet.

[washitaway]

In a gun fight. [Which, as far as Booker is concerned, is very different from a dance.

Still, he can vaguely recall where to put his hands - one on her waist, the other holding her hand. Now for the steps.

It's been a very, very long time.]

[beunbroken]

Close enough, [She says, taking his hand, and putting her own hand on his shoulder. It takes her a few moments to pick up the time to the music, then she nods.]

It's a waltz- 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3.

[washitaway]

I - know how to waltz. [And he does, as his feet pick up the beat with relative ease. Just because it's been a long time doesn't mean he can't pluck it up out of the depths of his memory.]

[beunbroken]

Do you? [She asks, raising an eyebrow, but he does remember- muscle memory, she supposes. She'd taught herself, watching instructional kinetoscopes.]

[washitaway]

I never said I couldn't dance. [He just said "I don't dance" - okay maybe that's splitting hairs, but it's accurate enough. He knows how, he just hasn't for about twenty years.]

[beunbroken]

Well, you can, and now you're doing it. [She grins, letting him lead.]

[washitaway]

You just kept askin' so nicely. [He teases her gently, leading her around the floor, easing into it quickly - Booker's always been a fast learner, and the steps aren't exactly difficult anyway.]

[beunbroken]

Third time's the charm. [She's grinning right along with him, following his lead easily.] We need to get you in a suit.

[washitaway]

And what use would I have for a suit? [Booker's eyebrows go up at her suggestion.]

[beunbroken]

Well, you'd look mighty good in it. And you could take me dancing more often.

[washitaway]

I can dance just as easily in the clothes I got, though. [What are you saying, Liz, that you want him to look handsome? Doesn't he already look handsome enough for you??]

[beunbroken]

[You're the most handsome dad of all the handsome dads, okay? But MEN IN SUITS. and if you don't wear one, Pavel will.]

You can. But what's wrong with having more clothes?

[washitaway]

I don't need more clothes.

[beunbroken]

I'm going to buy you more clothes.

[washitaway]

You've already made me so many, though?

[Yes, he actually ends that on a slightly questioning note, and leads her in a twirl, maybe as a way to distract her?]
