The starting point of landfall and the smallest port of importance in all the republic. All visitors will have a fish mark stamped on their tin visa if they are granted access here. The homes here are sturdy and built to withstand the harsh sea winds, though the dome has rendered their sturdiness largely irrelevant as the years pass. Fish represent the primary theme of food, with preserved and smoked renditions a commodity often sent for trade to others towns. Local authorities will ask for the tin card visa of each visitor upon first sight, verifying the information with some scrutiny before handing it back and allowing them to continue onwards. There are some auctions held here, with the items obtained often showing signs of recovery from the ocean floor by diving parties in search of fish to net.

I never said I couldn't dance. [He just said "I don't dance" - okay maybe that's splitting hairs, but it's accurate enough. He knows how, he just hasn't for about twenty years.]

Well, you can, and now you're doing it. [She grins, letting him lead.]

You just kept askin' so nicely. [He teases her gently, leading her around the floor, easing into it quickly - Booker's always been a fast learner, and the steps aren't exactly difficult anyway.]

Third time's the charm. [She's grinning right along with him, following his lead easily.] We need to get you in a suit.

And what use would I have for a suit? [Booker's eyebrows go up at her suggestion.]

Well, you'd look mighty good in it. And you could take me dancing more often.

[washitaway]

I can dance just as easily in the clothes I got, though. [What are you saying, Liz, that you want him to look handsome? Doesn't he already look handsome enough for you??]

[beunbroken]

[You're the most handsome dad of all the handsome dads, okay? But MEN IN SUITS. and if you don't wear one, Pavel will.]

You can. But what's wrong with having more clothes?

I don't need more clothes.

[beunbroken]

I'm going to buy you more clothes.

[washitaway]

You've already made me so many, though?

[Yes, he actually ends that on a slightly questioning note, and leads her in a twirl, maybe as a way to distract her?]

[She laughs into the twirl, curling back into him effortlessly.]

But these are ones I'll buy. New trousers, new vests. Think of it!

I am. [His brow is still furrowed.] And it seems to me a waste. I'm not really that kinda man.

You can't just wear the same few things over and over again, Booker.

[washitaway]

I can until they wear out. [Um, yes?] I've never had much money, Elizabeth. Lots of clothes require lots of money. I do just fine with what I've got.

[beunbroken]

Well, I've never had much, either. It's all Comstock's doing. But I just think... You should have options. [What if you find a nice lady your own age, Booker?

...Not that liz will let you.]

[Puh-lease, Booker isn't the settle down with a good woman type.

Except he totally has settled down with Liz.]

If I need more clothes, I can get some. You should be buyin' for yourself. Pretty things, and whatnot.

I had enough pretty things to last me a life time, Booker. I want you to have pretty things now.

[washitaway]

Maybe I don't like pretty things?

[beunbroken]

Then why are you spending so much time with me?

[washitaway]

[Oh man, is this a trap of some kind? If he says it's not because she's pretty, will she get upset and claim he thinks she's ugly? And if he says she is pretty, will she think he's got dishonorable thoughts about her? What's a fella to do?]

[Oh no. Oh, no, Booker, no. Not the right thing to say. Not to her. You tried, and therefore no one can criticize you, but... Elizabeth wants to.

Her smile, as such, falters for a moment, but it's back in full force anyway. She will not let him ruin her dance with him.] Well, thank you.

[Apparently he did not nail it. Woops.]

You're very pretty, too, I just - [Flail around, Booker. Try harder to backpedal.]

Booker, it's okay.

[He raises his eyebrows, then pulls her into another twirl. Come on, Elizabeth. Smile for him!]
