Situation: Tu Vishan makes landfall at the winterbound republic of Bresilyk!

The starting point of landfall and the smallest port of importance in all the republic. All visitors will have a fish mark stamped on their tin visa if they are granted access here. The homes here are sturdy and built to withstand the harsh sea winds, though the dome has rendered their sturdiness largely irrelevant as the years pass. Fish represent the primary theme of food, with preserved and smoked renditions a commodity often sent for trade to others towns. Local authorities will ask for the tin card visa of each visitor upon first sight, verifying the information with some scrutiny before handing it back and allowing them to continue onwards. There are some auctions held here, with the items obtained often showing signs of recovery from the ocean floor by diving parties in search of fish to net.

And then he lets it drop and gestures to the bundle again.] The auctioneer guy said it came with "toys".

[Snorts at the notion. It was far too late for that.]

I'm guessing he meant the usual toys. Ben was a perfect... twin of you. You had similar tastes. [Being vague was hard.]

Ah. Sooo… Thwip thwips and... cell phones?

[He knew that if Peter knew who he really was, all of this would be over.]

Seriously? That's as subtle as you get?

And no, when Ben was alive cell phones weren't exactly portable. [...Despite that only being like 5ish years ago.]

Okay, not cellphones, then. But he had other toys?

Yeah. He had your standard toys [Keeping his hand at his side, he makes the thwip gesture.], your tracers, and some toys of his own creation.

[Peter blinks, eyebrows arching upward.] Tracers? What tracers? What kind of toys did he make?

[Looks around the streets trying to find a place where they can speak in private. Seeing an alleyway, Kaine pushes Peter towards it.] If we're having this conversation, we're not going to do it on the street. No wonder everyone knew your damn identity!

[That makes Peter flail his arms out a little, mostly out of sheer surprise.]

Hey! First of all, that's not how it worked, and second of all, I can walk. No need to shove.

Please, I used to ask myself how the hell you weren't unmasked before.

[With that little argument out of the way, he looks around once more to confirm the coast is clear, then reaches into the blue bundle and fished out a spider tracer from the utility belt. He drops his voice low.] This is a spider tracer. It's tuned to your spider sense. Throw and follow. [A pause] Actually, I think these were designed to work with the web shooters... Older you shaped his like spiders because he has a problem and had to do it the old fashioned way.

Did you really never make one of these?

If Other Me never got invited to their sleepovers, that's probably one way he's avoided it.

[Now that they're in a "safer" place, even Peter feels a little better hearing about the tracers. And honestly, what was so bad about the word "tracers"? It could've meant anything, really.]

I... No, I didn't. [He leans in a little to get a good look at it, squinting slightly to make out any details.] ...Huh. Spider tracer, shaped like spiders. Older Me really likes theming everything out, I guess.

What Peter does in his private time is his business.

[And it wasn't "tracer" that Kaine took issue with saying in a public place. It was pretty much everything else. Mainly things involving the word "spider." You're the one who wants to keep a secret identity, Peter, figure it out.]

He has a spider-shaped spotlight on his belt. I think that answers everything.

[That grinds things to a halt. Peter looks up at Kaine with an eyebrow raised.]

Please tell me that I just heard you tell your first joke.

He calls it the spider signal.

[Look. This Peter draws the line at "Spider Signal." The theme thing is great and all, but that's just taking it too far.]

I can tell. These round tracers totally make more sense than spider-shaped ones.

He had other kinds of web fluid too. I don't know what he called them, but one's like a metal dart thing, and the other explodes on impact.

Wow... [Exploding sounds dangerous, and in the hands of an inexperienced Spider-Man? Probably a bad idea. Metal darts could also have some issues- But Peter has to admit that Ben's been really creative with his toys.]

Do you think all of his stuff is here? I just- It'd be pretty awesome to get a good look at it all.

[Fishes around inside the hoodie bundle for one of Ben's webshooters. When he finds it, he hands it to Peter.] It's his costume. I'm going to guess yes.

They work differently than yours, so don't try the double tap.

[He takes it carefully-- Especially since now he doesn't know what triggers it to shoot.]

Then do you know how it works?

He.... he did something with his hand. [As he says that, he flicks his wrist. He's trying to visualize their multiple fights to figure out what he did to operate his web shooters.]

Huh...

[He turns the webshooters over in his hands a couple of times, holding them up close so he can get a good look at everything.]

Guess I'll try that later, when we get back or something.

[It was so hard, trying to remember the past as it truly happened and not colored by his own insanity. He could see Ben in his Scarlet Spider costume, yelling at him to stop in any one of their encounters. But when he tries to focus on them, all he can feel is the rage at Ben for his existence and the source of his rage, the pain of his clone degeneration. His eyes screwed shut as he imagined his every nerve ending on fire once more, the only thing in life he believed would be a constant.

Kaine forced himself to think of something, anything else. He thought of Aracely, of Annabelle, of Donald and Wally. The memories and the phantom pain subsided. His thoughts drifted to Peter, and then to May. And then he had an epiphany.] May might know.

Her costume is based off of Ben's... His other costume. When he took over for Peter.

I wouldn't be surprised if she's used his shooters.
