OPEN | Wally West ( Kid Flash )
Characters: Wally West and You
Location: Keeliai - Fire Sector
Situation: Day 02: Wally's been here for a day already - he's yet to make a network post, mostly because he's been concerned with finding work. He's just found a job that fits and he's exploring the city.
Warnings/Rating: None, yet.
[ So aside from the whole situation of winding up here yesterday, Wally West was doing alright. His long ride to the city and settling down had gone off with ease - aside from getting strange looks now and then from the locals when he expressed his disbelief in being "between life and death." He had locked himself up in the suite and spent most of that first day pacing until he fell asleep. With the dawn, he had made the resolution to find himself some work. This was definitely a sprawling place, and not a prison, or so he had determined for now. Might as well go along with the flow. An explanation from a local resident had laid out the sectors in detail for him, and that's what set him on his path for the Fire Sector.
Wally walked like a normal human being for once. It took him a good deal longer than he probably wanted, but even this impatient boy knew better than to go all that way without getting a hang of his surroundings. Once in the Fire Sector, he set his sights on every herbalist around. He figured with what chemistry and biology he knew, he'd be perfect for that sort of a job. Four turn downs. The only reason he got the job he did was because he let slip he lived in the Wood Sector and he showed off his speed. The soon-to-be boss appreciated that he could stealthily retrieve ingredients now and then, maybe cutting down on his costs to the merchants.
With that success under his belt, the ginger-haired teen was told to come back the next day for work, bright and early. Today? He had to himself to finish exploring the city. ]

So she's in the Fire Sector, looking for the noodle place the Rin mentioned, the one that's supposed to be near the palace. But there's a lot of Fire Sector, and 'close to the palace' isn't exactly a lot to go on, and she's starting to get hungry.]
Maybe I'll just see what else they have. [This, with a dubious look at a display window full of unfamiliar fruits and vegetables.]

Hnng... [ His voice went right along with a prompt growl from his stomach as he wandered over to some place where it looked like they were serving produce. Heck, twenty apples (even if they probably didn't have those here), would help. Wally slumped against the glass, not really aware of who was around. ]

no subject
Uh... Sorry. [ He pushed away from the glass and offered here a small grin. ] Name's Kid Flash.

But will you spot a Robin fleeting from rooftop to rooftop, by any chance? Damian's finished with for now, and he has about four hours to waste... so he's out and about, his way. Fire sector has its share of work to do all times of day, these days.]

But there was a feeling of something wrong as he walked around, something familiar. He just so happened to look up over to one building, and well... Wide eyes were a go.
Along with flailing.
And a yell at the top of his lungs. ]
Robin! Rob!
no subject
Hnn.
He considered it for a moment, then made sure the mask was in place, and, still almost without any noise, dropped right beside the redhead.]
I think you've got the wrong Robin.
no subject
It was only when this kid dropped next to him that he could tell by looks as well.
How much more obvious could it get that he was sad? ]
Ah... yeah. Not the one I know...
no subject
Which one? Do you know?
no subject
[ It almost slipped out - maybe he was really big on hoping this would be Dick. Get yourself together, Wall-man. How else to put this so it could mean something?
Aha! ]
The first Boy Wonder. [ Though at this point, it was the only one he knew of; this could have just been some kid playing dress up, though with a decent set of skills. ]
no subject
[Yes. That did mean something to this Robin, indeed. And if Grayson is young enough to be Robin, where the redhead is from, that might make this teenager... Damian frowned, taking in the face.]
Speedster?
no subject
[ Wally grinned a bit at the acknowledgement of what his powers were. ]
Yep. I go by Kid Flash.
... civviess or costume? Just to make sure.
Wally's in costume! I was assuming Damian was too?
Oh, Damian's DEFINITELY Robined up.

Tommy was in the Fire Sector doing some exploring of his own. Even though he's been here a little over a week, the place is literally huge, with so many districts within sectors that Tommy isn't even sure he's going to be able to explore it all. And he still hadn't even found a head to the supposed turtle-island, with all his looking. He's not sure he ever will. It kind of hurt his head to think about a turtle that big.
He's dressed in his uniform, flitting about the markets and alleys of the sector, trying to get it all memorised. To a normal person, he'd be just a blur. But to a speedster...]

It took him a little bit - Darn, this guy's fast. - but he eventually caught up. He looked over to the stranger, grinning. ]
no subject
At first he doesn't see him, too busy looking at what's ahead of him to bother glancing, but when that patch of red hair caught the corner of his eye he glances over, blinking a little in surprise. Tommy wasn't aware that there were any speedsters here. Other than him. He turns and starts running backwards to get a better look at him, raising an eyebrow as he smirked, no sign of slowing down.]
Can I help you?
no subject
Just admiring another guy with fancy footwork.
[ It might have been a little rude, but he looked back ahead, just to make sure he wasn't going to cra- crud. They were coming up on a larger building and he hadn't been paying attention long enough to adjust. This was going to hurt - Wally's eyes went wide and he tried decelerating, but too late; his momentum ended up throwing him into a roll along the ground and smack into the building. ]
Ow...
no subject
Fancy footwork? You ain't seen nothin--
[When Tommy sees Wally try and slow, he glances behind him and realises that this was about to get really painful if he didn't skid. But skidding backwards wasn't exactly something he'd perfected yet. He trips the moment he tries, taking a few skidded steps backwards before smacking into the ground, grinding to a halt when his back and the back of his head smacks against the wall.]
Owww... [he hisses, attempting to pick himself up, so he can rub the back of his head. That'll teach him for showing off.]
no subject
Speaking of that speedster, he looked over to the fallen male and gave a shaky grin. ]
I go by Kid Flash. How about you?
no subject
He squints up at the other boy, pushing himself up as best he can from the wall, sending a small shower of cracked paint down on them, and groans a little, heaving a shallow sigh--any deeper and his back would start complaining. That's gonna leave a bruise.]
Kid Flash? What, was just 'Flash' already taken? [he scoffs a bit, giving his head one last rub before sitting up.]
I'm Speed.

Today, he was out as Bruce Wayne. Mostly he was surveying buildings that he might want to purchase once he had a bit more capital built up. He was discussing the issue with one of the kedan themselves when he caught sight of the boy out of the corner of his peripheral vision.
For a moment, he simply stared, eyes narrowed. Wally West.
At sixteen. Certainly he's no older than that. Young enough to have no idea of Bruce Wayne's alter identity, but there's no mistaking he was a part of the Titans at this age.
Supposing he was from the same universe.
Bruce shifted his stance, continued in his discourse with the kedan, who didn't register the change. But Bruce was now in full view of the boy. Time to see what he'd do. Could be he'd just pass him by, and Bruce would remind himself later to keep an eye on him. Could be he simply resembled Wally West enough to fool him - stranger things had happened on Tu Vishan.
Bruce hated admitting the possibility that he might be wrong, but it was best to consider everything from each possible angle.]

Double-take.
Wally's gaze snapped back to the imposing figure he saw cut out among the unearthly citizens. There were some minor differences from what he remembered, but this was definitely him.
Thank god he still had his suit, because he couldn't stop himself from speeding up to the man he knew as: ]
Mr. Wayne!
[ Wally, in his guise as Kid Flash, smiled brightly at the man; as far as his world was concerned, Batman, who Wally highly suspected of being Bruce Wayne by day, but had yet to get confirmation of that fact. If he was right, though, Bruce would know him whether he was dressed as Kid Flash or civilian clothes. ]
You got dragged into this mess too, huh? Think Batman'll find a way to save a prince of Gotham? [ Taking a big risk, but hey, who was going to blame him for passing up the chance, he gently elbowed the man's ribs. Batman might kill him later, but Bruce Wayne, as far as he knew, wouldn't. ]
no subject
He smiled pleasantly at the kedan with which he was speaking.]
Please excuse this young man's behaviour. I suspect he might have mistaken me for someone of his acquaintance.
[And with that, he turned to Wally. His tone didn't change, but his expression shifted to something a little more Batman. Narrowed eyes, a certain tightness to the jaw-- the usual.]
You're one of those vigilantes from... Metropolis? Star City? I can never keep you all straight.
[There is a very slight warning to his tone.]
no subject
But then there was that change in the man's expression... Wally was keen enough to notice that, and oh did it remind him of his Batman, sending a small shiver down his spine. ]
I- uh... yeah. Kid Flash, from Central City. Just got here yesterday.
[ He chuckled weakly, trying to break that tension, or at least loosen it; a hand went up to the back of his head. ] I wasn't interrupting anything too important, was I?

pavementshell to be getting one. No, someone will eventually catch onto his genius and, until then, he's going to bask under the lavish amenities that the Fire Sector has to offer. He's basking will, and basting under a few glasses of some local imitation of whiskey outside a massage parlour, when he spies Wally walking past. He's almost out of alcohol and, well, why get it when he could hire someone.]
Hey, you. Kid. Come here a second. You up for making a quick buck?
no subject
And when his eyes land on this guy, well, it's obvious Wally had other things on his mind. ]
You're talking to me?
[ He pointed to himself. Silly speedster. So of course, he wasn't going to wait for a proper response. ]
This isn't going to turn into something like Scarface, is it?
