skericide. Her usual hangouts are at her dojo in Wood, her suite ME-2A, the hospital in Metal, Jack's Fishing Shop in Water, or the Brazen Turtle in the center of Keeliai. But Korra can be at any sector on just about any day. Prose or brackets, they're both good!)

But she wasn't, and that was starting to sink in with just how calm his voice was.
"Don't, don't leave me. Okay?" Him being gone again while she was like this didn't feel like something she wanted. Korra wanted to muscle through it the way she had always done, but everything was different now.
Ever since she was shot, it felt like everything changed and Mako was the only anchor she had to hold on to. And she did just that, grabbing his arm as she lied back down and taking her eyes off his.

They were trapped. There was no getting to the clinic or the hospital, and he was pretty sure Korra was going to need more than a couple minutes to be able to start to bend again. He needed to do something, and he was completely unprepared to do anything besides what he'd already done.
He'd never really had medical training before. He just knew that she needed to be still and that she needed to relax as much as possible.
He stepped back, just for a moment. He needed to get her a blanket. Something to help keep her warm after all the bloodloss. Blanket. Water? Was water good then? It couldn't hurt-- could it?

"I miss home." she said, swallowing again to clear her throat. Her hands weren't shaking anymore, so that was a good sign, and she set them on her stomach. While the bombs could have happened, her leg wouldn't be broken. She'd feel better.
It made sense to her.
Whenever anything disastrous happened, Korra was used to being caught in the thick of it. And being held at least partially responsible made her look over at him again, her lips twitching. "Sorry, Mako."

Focus.
He sets the blanket on her, tucking it around her. First, he needed to try the consoles. If they were good for one thing, this was it. Fast communication with others while not being face to face. So, he offered her a smile. "Hang on, I'm gonna try to find someone." And he stepped back again, this time to the console.
Getting it to work, though... was not so lucky.

"Thanks. It was kind of cold." Now that the cauterization had settled in, the pain wasn't hot like it was before. Something Korra was grateful for despite how much the burn hurt when he had done so.
Find someone. She lolled her head to the side and watched him turn the console on. Or rather, attempt to do so. "Who?" she asked as she brought the blanket up to her neck.
If she could think of someone, or maybe a face, then she could help.
Somehow.

He hardly heard Korra ask him a question. He looks at the door and at the windows again. If he was going to get any sort of help, he was going to have to go outside and ask for it... Leaving her behind.
And Korra was just stubborn enough to try to move even when she shouldn't. He glances back at her. "Hey... Try not to move too much, alright?"

Korra gave him one last look, her eyes wandering his form until she found his face, and nodded. Healing, bending, was feeling like an importance and she thought of chi. The paths she had redirected to heal other, including herself.
"I’ll get better." She promised softly, not knowing if he was still there. He told her not to move too much. But chi, that wasn’t moving too much.
Redirection. Chi. Healing. Water.
Meditation had become a regular practice for her ever since Spock helped her get in touch with her inner spirit, and now she was trying it while lying down. Her thoughts were becoming scattered, but clearing her mind became easier because of it.

No, it was different somehow.
He focused in on it, turning it over in his hands, before the compulsion to see just how it was different finally overcame him. He slid the ring on his finger and stared at it for a minute. Well-- this was pretty pointless and he still didn't have the first thing he needed, which was an ambulance.
... until a familiar siren goes off in the distance.
... Well, okay.

Then suddenly she was surrounded by medics, but they were green. She blinked a few times as they carefully put her on a stretcher, her thumbs rubbing in her hand to look for the ring. But it wasn't there, and it couldn't have been her; she didn't have the willpower to use it just then.
When they carried her through the door, Korra saw Mako along with them, taking her into the constructed ambulance. She smiled wanly as the sirens went off again when they were on the road and headed straight to where others where being directed by police officers for shelter and medical emergencies.
"Not...the best morning." she was being tended to by the constructs and kept laying down, but Korra couldn't help but try to lighten the mood.

Strange green things aside.
He sighed in relief. "At least it's getting better now."
