Situation: Tu Vishan has made landfall on Siaxhi, to explore the Dreaming Watch City of Valishaera.

As Tu Vishan draws near, the heavy jungle visible even from miles out quickly identifies the landmass as Siaxhi, one of the westernmost continents in Konryu and one that has been largely untouched insofar as the kedan themselves have gone. There is a natural inlet along the southeast shore on the continent and Tu Vishan makes for that, though he fills nearly all of it.

[Okay, she could understand the excitement. But that was a little too cheerful for her. Like, Hello, Megan levels of cheerfulness.]

Somebody had their coffee this morning.

I get that this place is kind of exciting and all, but if you get any more cheerful, we're going to have to get you a set of pom poms.

So, which way are we going?

[Well, that was completely helpful.]

[But since Zatanna had no real reason to argue, she complied with the suggestion and started on her way. Walking through the realm was...surreal, almost. At times, it felt like she was trying to walk through water. Only she could breathe. Other moments, it carried the sensation of walking on one of those forward-moving walkways at the airports. A sensation of being propelled forward, despite moving at the same speed.]

[She couldn't tell if the place wanted her to leave, or go faster.]

I can see why they call it the Dream realm.

It is very like a dream. Though, it feels...

it feels both familiar and alien.

Not here, here...at least, I don't think? But a realm similar to this one/

What was this realm?

There were two. A Death Realm, and a Dream Realm. But not like this one.

[Again, she can only suppose.]

It was a little more literal. Each realm basically took you into this dream-like world. Or nightmare. Only then, we didn't really know we were dreaming unless somebody else pulled us out of it.

[She'd had to do that very thing to poor Jack, who had been so happy. To this day, the guilt over destroying his precious illusion continued to haunt her, even though it had been necessary.]

This area is supposed to be linked to the Dreaming Realm.

But it still has a different feel to it. I don't know...it's hard to explain, exactly.

Oh, right. That's true.

Usually, I'm a little bit better about that sort of thing. [She'd grown used to having to explain certain auras to those without magic] But this time...it's a little above and beyond my expertise.

It is something I have had to consider as well. Few of my friends from my home are sorcerers.

In other words, they probably wouldn't be much help either.

Unless, by "not sorcerer" one of them happens to be a dreamwalker or something along those lines.

I was not aware dream-waking was a power, save in giant turtles.

I'd never met one myself...until the Turtles, of course...but I'd heard rumours.

I suppose it may be a part of witchcraft. I know little of what witches are capable of, but it seems like the manner of thing they would find interesting.

{Tazendra still thought witches were superstitious foreigners, but she admitted they had talents that were a lot harder to perform with sorcery. Especially psychic things.]

Depends on the witch, really.

[She might have laid the "w" word on a bit thick, but she was also going to give the benefit of the doubt that it was being used as a general term. Not an insult.]

Some families can specialize in certain areas. Others can do anything, so long as it falls within their level of power. It's kind of hard to lump them all into one group.
