Kyle nods. 'He's not Robin anymore, is he?' Then, he quickly qualifies that, 'Sorry, I don't really keep up with how many of you there are.'

"Red Robin, now," He'll find that out for himself if he runs into Tim here, and it's not giving away very much information, "There's only been five Robins, and three Batgirls. It's not that hard to keep up."

She's smiling, a little teasing, and although she is very firmly not thinking about secret identity things just in case he wasn't joking about the reading minds thing, she's mostly stopped freaking out about it.

Red Robin? Kyle's face betrays his surprise. That was... that was Jason's name, back on the Earth they'd been visiting before coming to Tu Vishan. He made a mental note to ask Jason about it later. 'Well, there's only four Lanterns, but you knew that.'

Steph notes the surprise, and she knows the reason behind it, but if Kyle's going to ask about it, she'll let him do it in his own time.

"Isn't there a whole corps of you guys?" Admittedly she's unlikely to ever meet the ones not based on Earth, but that's not the point.

'Yeah, there is - but I meant Earth.' Since she was unlikely to ever meet any other Lantern, unless the Emperor saw fit to bring them here. He really, really hoped that wouldn't be the case.

"Are they easier to remember than a few bats and birds?" She's teasing, evident by the tone of her voice and the way she's smirking at him.

'I do see them more often.' He smiles back. And it was also the fact that they all already knew Kyle Rayner from his Ion days and spent time in the mess hall together.

She taps a finger against her lips, as if thinking over his answer, "I'll take that," How magnanimous of you, Steph.

"You might have to pick up your game, though, we've got two Robins and two Batgirls running around at the moment," She doesn't think there's much harm in telling Kyle who all is here (except for Bruce, she'll leave that up to him) since he's likely to run into them sooner or later.

'Yeah, I met Pint Size Nightwing.' That was still weird. The other two, he probably didn't know, but he was hopeful about one person. 'Is Oracle here?'

"You get used to it," Pint Sized Nightwing is a good description, because Steph refuses to put adjectives in front of Dick's first name (she's not very mature). But she shakes her head at the question, "I wish, my life would improve dramatically."

Babs is the best. Even if Steph is aware that Babs would probably spend most of the time teasing her, it'd be worth it.

Alternate universes. He'd just spent a few weeks travelling through them and they were still difficult to get used to. When she mentions Oracle isn't here, Kyle's disappointment is visible. 'And I guess Happy Funtime Batman is just too much to ask for huh?' He sighs.

"There's no such thing as Happy Funtime Batman," Well, there's Dick, but she's pretty sure Kyle predates his time as Batman, and that version of Dick has gone home.

[imaginate]

'No kidding. There was one Earth where Jason Todd was Batman and you couldn't really even tell the difference.' Well, it would have been obvious to them, but Batman to Kyle always read as 'spooky'.

Give her a moment while her brain tries to process the idea of Jason as Batman.

"I think I could probably tell the difference," Because... Jason. The only one of them she can imagine slippng seamlessly into the Batman role is Damian, and that's not something she wants for him.

(Tim could try, but while he's as closed off as Bruce, he doesn't have the same sort of anger).

Kyle tilts his head slightly. 'Multiverse,' he supplied. 'Earth-15, I think. I didn't really keep track after the first six.' There'd been the Jokester, too, but he knew better than to mention that to the Batclan.

"Couldn't the ring like - catalogue them for you?" She doesn't know how someone couldn't want to keep track of things like that, and then wonders if she's been a Bat too long.

Kyle honestly hadn't thought of it. 'I think it might have. I'd have to ask.'

Steph knows very little about how GL rings work, so she's just working off how she'd use a (not actually)magic ring if she had one, "I hope it did, seems like the sort of thing that'd be useful."

'I guess, if you want to keep track of which Earth you had cereal for breakfast instead of pancakes.' It probably could, but only if Kyle had willed it to, and he hadn't, really.

"What, universe hopping got a bit boring for you?" She's teasing just a little.

'Only if you don't mind people constantly trying to kill you every time you land up on a new Earth.'

[controlledvariable]

"We have people trying to kill us every time we walk out the door," And walking out the door is significantly more boring than alternate worlds.

Hm. That was a good point. 'Touche.'
