Situation: Tu Vishan begins to dive to the ocean floor and the city of Keeliai seems unbothered by the process. Bonfire funtimes are made available to all!

[His eyebrow twitches oh so slightly. Talking to Bruce in public can be such a chore sometimes, but they make it work. He looks up at the dark sky.]

It's not only water we should worry about. If this goes on for long who knows how many kinds of food will stop growing?

[cowled]

They've obviously survived it before, Kent.

[first time for everything, of course, but Bruce Wayne is considerably more optimistic than Batman.]

[andaway]

We know they survived, we don't know the consequences.

[Kal would feel safer with the fortress in here. Run some tests, check the barrier with some of his tools... it's not that he hasn't gone through weirder things but he usually has some kind of tools with him.]

[cowled]

[Bruce just gives him a Look.]

Well, there's been no real downturn in their socio-ecological, oh, how did Miranda put it...

[He waves a dismissive hand. There's been no severe or lasting negative impact on the economy in the past seventy or so years, which is as far back as Bruce could talk shop-keepers into looking at their records. And in that time, the kedan have admitted to going under some thirty or so times.

Of course, it doesn't mean that there weren't any consequences, but it does mean that nothing affected the population to the point of overt change.]

Either way, I think we'll be fine. Champagne?

[He gestures at the bottle, uncorked and on the table. It's non-alcoholic, Clark.]

[The population might not have suffered significant changes, but Clark is more worried about the individuals. And for all they know this is the first time foreigners have been in here so how do they know it won't affect them?

...But if the goddamn Batman isn't worried he either a) knows something Clark doesn't b) knows what Clark knows and has simply reached a conclusion he hasn't. Either way, good news. He guesses. He starts chewing on his food- Brucie can choose a meal.]

Well, I guess we'll deal with any trouble that might come when it comes. A little bit, please?

[cowled]

[Oh, it's not necessarily that Bruce is unworried. He's just hiding his concerns very, very well.

And then he pours a glass for Clark and hands it over.]

I think we should probably make a radio broadcast about this little event, though. It's the perfect thing for the newspaper to cover.

[andaway]

[Clark lets out a hum at the suggestion. It's not a bad idea, but he's more used to taking notes about the story as it happens, and then writing it knowing how it evolves. Doing it live... well, it will be different.]

I guess we could give it a try. I am still getting used to the idea I have to use my voice though. [At least he's redirected his attention, good job B.]

[cowled]

[Mission accomplished.]

You don't have to be the one making the announcements. You have a surfeit of people willing to help.

[andaway]

Actually, most people want to stay out of the spotlight if possible even if they want to help.

[cowled]

[You are getting a Look, Clark.]

I doubt you have much experience with that.

[andaway]

[The most innocent of the smiles, Clark has it.] I don't know what you're talking about, but now that I think of it maybe the nice baritone voice of a Gotham prince would work over well in the radio.

[cowled]

Don't even.

[Bruce equips: BATGROWL. It's SUPER EFFECTIVE.]

[andaway]

...Yeah, better not. That growl would scare off any listeners in a minute.

[cowled]

You could always ask Dick.

[It's grudging. Bruce would rather none of his be involved in it, but if anyone could do it and actually enjoy it, it'd be Dick.]

[andaway]

Do you think he'd like to help us out? This Dick actually has a very nice voice.

[cowled]

He'd learn to fly if you asked him to, Clark.

[Which is probably true of nearly every alternate or mirror version of Dick. He looks up to Superman. He always has.]

[andaway]

[A startled laugh, then a dismissing movement with his hand.] And he'd never see the sky again if you asked him to never see it again. But I don't want him to do it because I'm asking him to.

I want him to have fun doing it. [He scratches his chin, looking up. But that only reminds him there is no sun to look at so he quickly looks down to their table again.] Maybe I should just suggest some kind of teen program for them to share the news that interests them? We do have quite a lot of teens.

[cowled]

[He gives Clark a deeply scrutinizing look, and then gestures carelessly with his champagne glass.]

Dick's a performer at heart. If we can come up with the incentive, I'm sure he'd enjoy it.

[andaway]

What kind of incentive? I doubt i's money. [Mainly because Dick has never cared about it in their world, and he doubts this one does either.]

Maybe doing the program with his friends?

[cowled]

Just ask him, Clark.

[It's likely all the incentive he needs.]

[andaway]

Well I know he'd say yes if I asked him nicely, I don't want to make him feel forced to do it.

[cowled]

He won't.

[Dick has an insatiable need to please people, but he'd have fun doing this as well. That's... important.]
