Situation: Tu Vishan begins to dive to the ocean floor and the city of Keeliai seems unbothered by the process. Bonfire funtimes are made available to all!

January 16th | Dive, Dive, Dive!

[Beginning mid-morning, a variety of seismic disturbances rumble across the shell of Tu Vishan, ranging between three and four on the Richter scale. The kedan seem undisturbed by the rattling of their possessions and selves and the city survives the few hours of these shocks without damages.

Eventually, these disturbances trickle off and leave only one marked difference: The ground itself appears to have taken on a slight tilt as Tu Vishan angles downwards. Kedan have prepared for this by securing anything with wheels and the angle of the decline is minor, but they play it better safe than sorry.

The edges of the shell offer the most significant shift, as there appears to be a steady rise of water against the barrier that many Foreigners have tested and have yet to best. By early afternoon, Tu Vishan has completely submerged and there is a press of water all about the barrier, but none of the water seeps in and the atmosphere in and about Keeliai remains quite adequate (and dry) for non-seafaring Foreigners and kedan.]

January 17th - 19th | Dove, Dove, Dove!

[During the earliest hours of the seventeenth, Tu Vishan reaches the ocean floor and levels out with another minor resurgence of seismic activity before continuing onwards underneath the water. There is little light to be had on and about the turtle, with the exception of the shell's glow during the night hours and the decorative fire of the Fire Sector. The kedan adjust to this by adopting a night schedule, with the hours of store operations reversed to coincide with the glow of the shell rather than the now obscured light of day.

While the absence of light may be inconvenient and difficult to amend, the drop in temperature that accompanies it seems best corrected by a layering of clothing. This protects also against the low-lying fogs that drift about at ground level due to the increased moisture seeping into the air from the ocean water pressing against the barrier.

Countering this unpleasant turn in the weather are warmly bundled kedan and a variety of sales from textiles merchants to clear out their thermal inventory and see it in use.

Further to that, the merchant Lieuen has obtained rare bonfire permits and imported Wood Sector products into the Fire Sector to hold large bonfires in the hours after the glow fades each morning. He also has arranged a number of merchants to set up stalls nearby with hot ciders (alcoholic and non-alcoholic are available), warm snacks, and blankets for those wishing to enjoy the bonfires. The Hazelwood Merchant himself can be found ranging through the bonfires, wishing Foreigners a happy dive and offering, as always, his services as Keeliai's foremost merchant and financier.]
