Situation: Tu Vishan begins to dive to the ocean floor and the city of Keeliai seems unbothered by the process. Bonfire funtimes are made available to all!

[imaginate]

[Kyle's smile at seeing Superman is perhaps the only thing brighter than the ring's glow. After facing so many different versions - including evil ones that wanted to kill him - he had been extremely relieved to find out that the Superman here was one of the good guys.] You know what they say about a lantern's light.

[andaway]

[Superman is honestly glad Kyle is here. They could always use a Green Lantern's light, and what's going on is just proof of that.]

In brightest day, in blackest night... [A grin, but it's soon gone.] So, you've seen what the turtle is doing. We don't know how long it will stay like this, or if the barrier will stand it.

I think your ring might be the key to make sure we all survive if it breaks down.

[imaginate]

Evil hasn't escaped my sight. [He means it as a joke, but Kal's statement elicits a more serious tone than Kyle intended. He's done something like this before, over a larger city and against angry rock beasts rather than the crushing pressure of the ocean, but if he's needed, he knows he'll answer the call.] One of my neighbours - Nita Prentiss, she's Atlantean - she's going to explore what's outside. I'm planning on doing some recon to see what's out there and how far we can get. I'll check for any weaknesses in the barrier and let you know. [Beat.] Seems like the locals are used to this.

[andaway]

I'd appreciate that, at least we'll know if there's any point that needs some reinforcing.

[He glances to the nearest local store, sighing out loud.] I guess they are, but they still don't tell us much about what's going on. We know they aren't worried, but how do we know we shouldn't be worried? They are shapeshifters, for all we know they can grow gills later while we drown.

[imaginate]

[He lowers his voice.] It seems a little stupid to bring us here only to drown us.

[andaway]

It does, but they don't even seem to have a clear idea of why are we here to begin with. I don't think they want to put us in danger, I just wonder if they are aware of human weaknesses.

[imaginate]

[Or Kal's, Kyle suddenly realised.] Yeah, the sun being gone is... a serious problem.

[andaway]

[A smile as he looks up to the darkness surrounding them.] It is if you don't have a friend able to simulate the sunlight.

[So don't worry Kyle, he'll be fine.]

[imaginate]

[Naturally, Batman had a contingency plan. Kyle nearly facepalms. Well, that was what happened when you were away from Earth that long.] Yeah, there might be a few people who can fix that problem. I'm worried about the crops, too.

[andaway]

I wonder about that, too. I asked one of the farmers- [Clark Kent's boss, not that he can say that] about it, they are apparently not worried at all about it. Maybe their vegetables and food have learned to adapt to periods without sunlight?

[imaginate]

Maybe. Or they just grow different crops? [They live on a turtle shell, there's some large-scale terraforming going on here: Kyle's familiar with that.]

[andaway]

[He nods, shrugging] The point is, we should worry about the barrier and survival in case it breaks, it seems they have the basics covered.

[imaginate]

I can manage that. [Temporarily, anyway. Until someone builds diving equipment.]

[andaway]

Even with all the willpower in the world you'll need to rest, Kyle. We need a plan B. and C. We need to get to double letters as far as plotting goes.

[imaginate]

Right. [:| a bit. He just got here, you guys have been here forever, how much of his plan will actually be effective?] I guess our first priority will be making sure the barrier stays intact. If not... do we have diving equipment that can survive this depth?

[andaway]

Not nearly enough for all of us, and especially not if it all happens on a short notice. [He reaches to scratch his chin] Maybe we should focus on that, and try to get equipment ready.

[imaginate]

Yeah. I'll check around to see if there's other people who can make charms or something that can help people breathe underwater. There's a lot here that makes me think magic might be the best plan of action.

[andaway]

[Ugh magic]

It might be, but I'll still focus on the technology side of things. Like I said we have to get to double letters when it comes to alternative plans right now.

[imaginate]

Then it's a good thing we're a team, isn't it? [Faint uncertainty. He knows they've kept things from Dick, Kon, and Zatanna.]

[andaway]

It is. [To be fair the teens have also kept things from them. That's what teens do.]
