I'd say Robin's more the 'walking dictionary' type, if you ask me.

[Hm, she hadn't mentioned his name.] Where I come from, there's --[he doesn't actually know if there's anyone after Stephanie.]-- a lot more.

I only know one of them by name. Number...three, I think? It's hard to keep track.

I already told you how people kept telling me how I'm "supposed" to be closer to Batman's age. Sorta proves there's more than just time travel going on here.

Way older than me too, actually, [small smile] but that would be if you were from my timeline, and you're not, so we don't really have a say in how old you're "supposed" to be.

I was hoping to find as many of the others as I could. Not everyone here can find their way around as easily as we could.

Yeah, you don't say. Who're you looking for?

Nobody in particular.

[No point in looking for any of the batfam. They usually found her instead.]

Fortunately, everyone I've run into so far seems to be okay. Aside from the lack of knowing what the heck's going on.

They tend to find us. [Batman had, and Kyle looks momentarily annoyed.] The locals don't seem too affected, so I don't think we've really got anything serious to worry about.

That's been my experience, yeah. [Zatanna looks less annoyed...though her expression noticeably darkens when Kyle brings up the locals. She knows something.] I wouldn't go by what the locals say or do, honestly.

[Kyle looks at her intently.] Zee, [forgive the nickname, old habits die hard] is there something I should know?

[Nothing to forgive; he wasn't the first person to ever call her that, and he most likely wouldn't be the last. Plus, he'd already admitted he had been friends with the other Zatanna.]

[Some of that Batparanoia was starting to rub off on her, it seemed.]

All I know right now is that the kedan have a history of acting...weird...when it comes to strange things happening around here. Like they've been ordered not to react like it's anything out of the ordinary.

[Kyle 'hmms'. ] What other weird stuff happened?

There were the gang wars. I wasn't here when those broke out...but I saw some of the aftermath...

[She and Jack had inadvertently come across a shop that had been all but destroyed because of it.]

Some people say it was the result of some kedan starting to break free. Realizing something's not right.

[imaginate]

[Kyle's expression darkens considerably.] Something weird in a neighbourhood like this usually means a squad of GLs being called in to fix it.

[Implied: 'And then blamed if it can't be'.]
