Situation: Tu Vishan begins to dive to the ocean floor and the city of Keeliai seems unbothered by the process. Bonfire funtimes are made available to all!

[Very cheerful, Pepper.]

I don't know. It's already gotten so dark down here, I can barely see two feet in front of me without a light. How much further do we need to go?

[Isn't she just?]

Personally I think we were fine on the surface.

Personally, I think most people here would've been even finer back home.

[...okay, maybe not her.]

Then again, I can't really accuse this place of being boring, that's for sure.

I can't say I wouldn't appreciate going back home myself.

[But as long as she has Stark International and Tony here she's actually fine either way. The gripe is more just for show.]

Do you want to come inside?

I could use a little break, yeah.

[She sets herself down on the balcony, brushing back some of her slightly-damp hair. The glowing magic ball in her hand hovers mid-air as she does this, still providing enough light for the both of them to properly see.]

[Pepper leads her into the building through the double doors.]

Do you want anything to drink?

[It was a nice place, she had to admit. Classy. Very much designed for someone who was used to living in luxury.]

Anything warm. If it's not too much trouble.

[Thank Tony, not Pepper. She was just used to dealing with it. She makes her way into the kitchen and puts the kettle on.]

I hope tea isn't a problem. I don't have any hot chocolate in the place.

[She'd have to fix that later. She gestures to one of the seats. An indication for Zantanna to have a seat.]

How are you doing that?

Tea is fine.

[She's still glancing around the room, taking it all in. A moment later, she does move to sit down.]

Hmm? Oh, you mean this? [Gently nodding her head towards the sphere] I told you. Magic.

[Oh, she was serious about that magic thing.]

Oh, I didn't know.

[Anything is possible here. After all, Jack Frost exists.]

I guess I should get used to hearing that more often then not.

[This turtle was starting to feel a little small for a woman without any sort of superpower.]

It's alright. Not everybody believes at first.

Actually, comparatively speaking, you're handling it a lot better than most.

Compared to other things that I've had to deal with recently it's comparability normal.

[Most things seem normal after you've met Jack Frost. Hell, Santa himself could show up and Pepper would probably manage to take it in stride now.]

[She's assuming Pepper is referring to more than just the suddenly Turtle Dive]

I'm living on a giant turtle with people who can shape shift. That isn't enough?

[A brow raises as the pot whistles. So Pepper goes back into the kitchen to get two cups of hot tea. When she returns she sets the sugar and one cup in front of Zantanna, a spoon on the small saucer it's sitting on.]

Besides, I'm starting to get the feeling that superheros aren't exactly in short supply here. No offence of course. I've nothing against superheros.

[She's dating one after all.]

Eh, I've seen weirder, honestly.

[This...is actually true. Considering who her father is. And Klarion. And the Helmet of Fate. And the worlds splitting in two. And that one time she met a ghost....]

None taken. [She's sort of dating one too.] Some of my closest friends are superheroes. Unfortunately, only one of them is here with me right now...which, I guess, is kind of a good thing. For the others, I mean.

The number of them that I know seems to keep growing.

[It's said with a soft smile though. She blames it on Tony really. First him with the suit, then Natalie who she would have never believed was anything but a well rounded assistant if she hadn't seen her take out Justin Hammer and, well, all the other things she'd done, and of course there was Phil. None of whom she would have known about it if weren't for her varied involvement with Tony.]

I'm just glad I'm able to help in a small way.

I'm sure you're a bigger help than you think.

[Pepper just smiles and takes a drink of her tea. She's never been one to let compliments like that go to her head, or even really believe them. Instead she'll change the subject.]

Do you live around here or were you just paroling?

[That's what superheros call it, right?]

[Zatanna also takes a sip. The warmth was exactly what she needed right then, and she sighed at the very first sip.]

Patrolling.

I live over in WO-3A, actually.

And your patrol takes you all the way over here?

[Somehow she would have thought that Superheros would have had some sort of organization for them to cover all the shell. Then again maybe some of them didn't play well with others, like Tony.]

Anywhere I might have a chance to find my friends, really.

It's a lot easier to travel between the sectors when you fly.

[Not necessarily. And if there was, Zatanna wasn't a part of it. She still didn't consider herself an official member of The Team back home, even if she'd fought alongside them a few times already.]

[Pepper almost replied with 'Yes, that's what I've always found' but thought better of herself. Zantanna's just a kid, and she might not be used to talking to normal people who can't fly or do anything super ordinary. Though Pepper can make a mean cup of coffee.]

I'm surprised the skies aren't more congested then.

[Clearly, coffee making is the superior power in this instance.]

Probably because not everybody can do it.

I know two boys here from my world, for example. Neither of them have any powers whatsoever.

Are they both superheros?

[If they're as young as Zantanna they really should be more careful.]

One of them is.

[Technically, the other one is too. Because they're the same person. She just doesn't know that yet.]
