Situation: Tu Vishan continues swimming along the ocean floor after his monumental dive, but it turns out there are a whole bunch of undead that want in on the party!

[He keeps her close and doesn't speak, his hand cold and a little clammy in hers. His other hand is clutching that sword so hard his knuckles are white, it has to be hurting, but he doesn't seem to care as he heads for the nearest safe place he knows. They encounter a zombie another hundred yards along, and it's dispatched in much the same manner as the first; Logan's getting pretty good at that, it seems, and he never lets go of Inara's hand as he does it.]

[ Inara -- doesn't comment. Not now, not when the threat is so high, so tangible and terrifying. Her hand is gripping Logan's and her eyes, dark and penetrating, watch every move that he makes.

She doesn't know what's possessed the man - it's not the one she'd met previously, but she cannot help but be grateful for it. He is saving her life, and she can't find it in herself to question it much at the moment. ]

[When they're beset by two at once, he lets go of her and draws them both toward himself. He doesn't want to, but at that level of fighting he needs to be able to move and turn and not be weighed down. They're making good progress, though, toward the palace where Inara can safely hide.]

[ Inara’s sense of direction is fairly accurate and she can tell that they are heading towards the palace – which is fine. She has little to no idea how long this will last, and when they are again attacked, Inara mutters a soft curse in Chinese, and continues to keep her dagger handy. ]

[thetyrant]

[Dispatched in the very same way as the first, and then Logan takes her hand to keep moving again. Apparently, Logan doesn't fix what ain't broke.]

[And eventually, they reach it, Logan finally letting go of Inara at the entrance to it, where there are guards to let her inside. He doesn't apparently care that they're both covered in zombie goo.] Stay here. [Hey, he can speak. And then he turns, intending to wade back into the fray.]

[ finally deposited, she grips his hand once and then lets him go, fingers flexing as she internally worries. ]

Please, be careful.

[ she's not even sure if he hears it - but she hopes that he does. ]
