Situation: Tu Vishan continues swimming along the ocean floor after his monumental dive, but it turns out there are a whole bunch of undead that want in on the party!

[ Lina incinerates one last wriggling arm with a little flare arrow before relaxes a little, shaking out her hair. She looks at Logan, who...sure doesn't look all that grateful for the help. ]

Well, you're a regular chatterbox. You didn't get bitten or anything, did you?

[thetyrant]

[He just shakes his head, sheathing his sword. Now that he's not actively fighting, he looks exhausted, like he hasn't slept in days. He slumps against a wall, breathing hard and looking pale and clammy.]

Whoa -- hey!

[ Okay, not ruling out the possibility of a bite. Lina hurries to his side, grabbing him by one shoulder to help hold him up. She could heal him with a recovery spell, but if he's been infected by the jiangshi, well...it's not going to help, that's for sure. ]

Look, I can heal you with my magic, but I need to know if any of those undead bit you. I can't use the spell if you've been infected. Can you tell me if they got to you?

[thetyrant]

I'm fine. [His voice is unsteady and breathless as he tries to wave Lina off, just leaning against the wall for a moment.] I'm fine. Not injured. [He sounds like he's trying to convince himself as much as her, to be honest, but if it helps, there are no visible bites and no obvious places where he might be covering one with clothes. He does wear long sleeves and pants, but those offer some protection from a bite and don't look ripped anywhere.]

[ Oh, man, that's a relief. If the guy had been bitten...well, she wouldn't have been left with a lot of pleasant options. ]

You might not have gotten bitten, but I don't know about fine. Come on, hold still, will you?

[ And before he can protest, Lina's hands are enveloped with a white light as she holds them in front of his chest, just shy of touching. White magic really isn't her forté, but she can do a little for him, at least. ]

[He doesn't know what the hell that is, and tries to lean away until he hits the wall. He lacks the strength to push her off, but he does knock her hands aside.] What is that? It doesn't matter. No.

WHO THE SHIT REFUSES A HEALING SPELL LIKE THAT

Wha -- cut it out, will you? I'm trying to do you a favor here! What is your deal, man?! I wasn't even going to charge you for it! Don't you know you're lucky that I'm being so generous?!!

[wow this is about to end terribly for everyone involved]

[Logan is not inclined to deal with that kind of shit right now, any more than he's inclined to let any magic be performed on him. Under other circumstances he might let someone try, if they were very clear what they were doing, but right now he's in war mode. So the sword comes up, pointing at her throat. Tired he might be, but cutting a girl's throat doesn't take much.]

Keep your generosity. [The way he snarls it...it's hard to believe he could put any more malice into one word.] And keep your filthy spell-flinging away from me.

[ Nobody refuses Lina Inverse's generosity like that. She's a beautiful sorcery genius! The guy should be so lucky! And more than that, nobody calls Lina Inverse filthy and gets away with it.

And just like that, she's mad. She's more than mad. She jumps back a few steps away from Logan and the sword, the white glow in her palms flickering out, quickly replaced by an angry, red one. A little sphere of red light shimmers in her palm, starting to take shape as a ball of fire. ]

Hey, don't you know how lucky you are that I saved you? Me, Lina Inverse! You don't know who you're dealing with, buster! And you've got the nerve to point a sword at me? Ohh, you're just asking for a world of hurt! I'm gonna fry you like a fish!

[thetyrant]

[For a second it looks like he might fight back, there's anger on his face and the arm tenses as if to bring the sword up again...but then he gives up.]

[Falling back against the wall again, Logan just shakes his head a little, looking like a man with nothing left to lose. He sheathes the sword and gestures vaguely.] Do your worst. [Knowing he'll come back, death doesn't actually sound half bad right now. Maybe he'll sleep.]

[ Well, that kind of attitude just takes all the fun out of it. And more than that, Lina's kind of confounded by his sudden change of demeanor. One second he's pointing a sword at her throat, the next he's just...asking for it? Man, that doesn't sit well with Lina, and she's never known exactly how to handle these self-sacrificing types.

She falters, obviously taken aback, and the flickering globe of fire in her hands dies away. She steps back, waving her arms in mild befuddlement. ]

Uh...yeah, I don't think so. You're a real weirdo, you know that?

[thetyrant]

[Logan doesn't bother answering, starting to get lost inside his own head as he slides down the wall, to sit heavily on the ground. By the light, he's so tired. He wants to sleep. He wants this whole thing to stop happening so he can sleep.]

The guy looks like he could use medical attention, but the last time she tried to help he pointed a sword at her throat. If he really wants to be left alone, she's, uh...she's gonna leave him to it. ]

Uhh...yeah. Good luck with that.

[ She backs away a few steps before she turns to get the hell away from here because god this guy is creeping her out. ]
