Situation: Tu Vishan continues swimming along the ocean floor after his monumental dive, but it turns out there are a whole bunch of undead that want in on the party!

[Zombie paste makes for the best romantic setting.]

Can I come too? I swear I have zombie sludge in places I didn't know existed. [He pauses, realising what he just said. His brain sort of trips over itself and well. Screw it. He's just going to pretend like he meant it casually.]

Good point. I just wish there were less puréed organs involved.

[ Rikki stares at him for a moment or two while she slowly wraps her head around the fact that yeah, he just said that. He probably didn't mean it the way it sounded, but wow, Tommy, now that's all she's going to be able to think about.

She clears her throat a little awkwardly, shifting her weight and smiling faintly. ] Don't you have your own shower, or do you not get those in treehouses?

And I'm pretty sure you only have yourself to blame for the puréed organs, but as long as we are covered in zombie goo... [ Okay, more him than her, but still. ] You wanna go find some more to blow up? I wouldn't mind a little company.

[crotcharrow]

[It's a good thing to think about, Rikki and you know it. He gives her a grin.] Yeah, but I'm not gonna be able to get all the goo off on my own.

[He laughs, shrugging.] Hey, it's the only way I can stop them without getting close. I don't wanna be bit or anything. But yeah. I'd love that.

[ Oh god is she blushing? She's blushing. Rikki ducks her head under the pretense of adjusting her goggles, though she's grinning to herself as she does. ] I think you'll manage. Somehow.

Y'know, I've managed to not get bit so far and I don't even have superspeed. Are you sure you're not just chicken or something? Got a little zombie phobia? [ As she speaks, she's starting down the street, out of the pool of blood and flesh, and pausing once she gets to clear ground to wipe the goo off the bottoms of her boots. The last thing she needs is to faceplant in the middle of a fight because her boots are slick with zombie parts. ]

[He grins when she readjusts her goggles and turns on his foot to follow her, looking a little insulted when she speaks up again.]

Chicken? Me? C'mon. [He falls into place next to her, flicking some goop off his sleeves.]

I'm pretty sure being scared of zombies is a rational fear. Like, they're okay in videogames, but when they are trying to tear your actual face off? Not so much.

Okay, yeah. I'm just saying, you're faster than they are. I think you can handle getting a little closer.

...though maybe not when you're blowing them up. [ She grimaces a little at the spatter all over his face. ]

[crotcharrow]

Says the chick with the shield. I'm kinda exposed. [he indicates to his skintight suit. Not that she wouldn't have noticed it already.]

--Aw man, do I have zombie face on my face? [he lifts a hand to smear some across his cheek.]

Yeah, you kinda do, and- ugh. I don't think that's helping. [ She resists the temptation to suggest he get into a shower sooner rather than later. Like, maybe right the hell now. They kind of have more important things to do now, but seriously. Gross. ]

Is that thing seriously not armored?

[ Rikki's had SHIELD and Black Widow supplying her uniforms and equipment since she started. She might be a little spoiled in that department. ]

[crotcharrow]

[He pulls his hand off his face and makes a disgusted noise, wiping the sludge off on the nearest building. He's going to need a shower for a week after this.

He gives a small shrug.]

All this? [He indicates to the muscle pushing through his suit.] All me.

Well, that's great if you never get hit... [ Sorry, Tommy, but it's hard to focus on the muscle definition when she's distracted by the gore all over you.

She adjusts her glove; the shield projected from it flares brighter, and then settles into a different shape, slightly domed and broader than usual. ]

I'm gonna head back up to the rooftops. It's faster getting around up there with all the barricades and dead guys. You... stay close, okay? If you can handle moving that slowly.

[crotcharrow]

I have a cup. Y'know. To protect the most important parts.

[He gives a small shrug. Maybe he should think about getting some armor inlaid into his suit. It would certainly help with not getting cut up all the time. But then he wouldn't be as streamline either, so.

Tommy watches the shield with interest, his face going blue with the flare. He gives a grin when she tells him to stay close.]

Why, you think I'm stupid enough to get bit or something? [He leans back on his heels.]

I'm good on the ground. I don't do heights.

[ Rikki snorts softly, eyeing the nearby rooftops speculatively. ] No, I just want to be able to do something if you run into trouble. That's the whole point of a team up.

[ She takes off running, jumps to catch an overhang and uses it to pull herself up on the roof, where she pauses. ]

And I can't do that if you take off.

[crotcharrow]

[He smirks.] You say that like I run into trouble a lot.

[He watches her jump up, not hiding the fact that he's getting a lovely view of her butt as she pulls herself up onto the roof, smiling to himself before stretching his arms forward.]

Got nobody else I'd rather be teaming up with, Nomad.
