WATER / night
Each sector has the same beaten down look to them. With water, it’s the smell that hits you first. He has a pocketful of herbs - mint mostly - with him on patrols. It’s still early in the night. He keeps an eye on the streets as he hops from one rooftop to another.]

Connor spots a small caped figure and swings down. Not knowing that it's a Robin and only knowing that there is a Robin around, he doesn't bother disguising his presence and walks up to him straight away.]
If you're planning to start any trouble, I'd suggest going home instead.

If I was planning to start trouble, it'd be already started. There is plenty enough out here without instigation, anyway.

WOOD / mid-day
Connor’s taking the time to walk around Wood and look through shops that can spare long pieces of wood. He’ll have to grind them down later to something more precise but getting it is the hardest part.]
best Sam is best
Today, she's spending the time in the Wood Sector. Her goal? To find a new shelf to replace one that's taking on rot with the whole degrading turtle debacle on the happen. It's not like she has a thousand books to protect, but she's got some texts that belong on it -- and the journals she's been keeping since she got here. (Dear Diary: No sentinels today. Also, I met a hot guy that says he's celibate. Bummer.)
So, in summary, she needs a shelf. And here she is, trying to talk with the shopowner, only he's busy talking with some nobody that's looking at a bunch of long shafts. An eyebrow goes up and, frankly, she doesn't know how patient she can be about this because she was hoping to get lunch in Water and a hot stone massage in Fire before heading back.]
You're looking in the wrong place for shafts, buddy. [Then, to the shopkeeper:] And I'm here to buy a lot more than a couple of slivers. Think we can hurry this up?
<3
I'll make this quick. If you could just give me a couple more minutes.
[Then his attention goes back to the shopkeep, who's just about to get annoyed about these Foreigners all up in their face.]
I understand, and I can pay for this, I just need time. Do you know what monthly payments are? Can we do that?
/nuzzle
Whatever.
[She rolls her eyes, crosses her arms, and starts to tap her foot. It's when he goes into talk about not having the funds to be shopping? That's when she throws her hands up, letting them drop back down onto her hips.]
You don't even have the cash? [A scoffing sound escapes her.] Who the hell gets a payment plan for toothpicks?
3xGREEN BEANS / Earth / mid-day
There’s three of them there now. Connor understand that Soranik Natu is a reasonable person, Kyle’s a friend want with you when you’re stranded, and Guy Gardner’s the other guy you want on field. But nothing about them is subtle and that’s what worries him. Sooner or later, they’re going to get put on the chopping block.
Which brings him to the clinic. Well, one of the reasons. The other is he needs to refill his medical supplies, hoping they can spare some. Connor walks in, thinks about knocking on the wall until he sees the crack in it, then he just opts to touch it gently - for luck and health - then moves on.]
Anyone home?
+1 nightlight
She's at her desk - back turned to the door as she finally runs tests on some of the more questionable substances purchased in her first week. It's quick work, but she's engrossed in it, at least until she hears Connor at the door. ]
Connor, come in.
[ He's done nothing but be helpful - full of common sense that no doubt makes up for Kyle's lack of it in their friendship. ]
+ 1 pointything??
Connor greets Soranik with a smile. He's actually pretty healthy looking considering. Just a tad darker from the instead sun out in outskirts land.]
Hey Soranik. How are things going?
[He takes a quick glance at her work. You can probably tell by the way his eyes light up that he's looking for some good news.]
seems legit
[ A gesture to one of the chairs in front of her desk. She doesn't have much good news to relay, thanks to rationing, but the presence of her power battery has at least been a welcome relief. ]

He shifts and stands up when Connor enters. He saw Roy earlier. Not their Roy, and he knows Connor probably did, too. Which is why his expression is even more concerned than the one on his friend's face. Business can wait. Family first.
A slight headtilt. Tell me what's wrong.]

A guy like that could use a hand on his shoulder to share the weight, keep them from getting crushed under it. So, Connor, with his small smile and reassuring ~zen presence, has a hand is on Kyle's shoulder.]
Looks like you've seen better days.

+3 green swagmachine idk what this green bean business is
[Also: it annoys Soranik.]
[He happens to be lurking in the front room, which also annoys Soranik, when - huh. He raises his eyebrows.]
Home enough.
idk green things. so bean? bean
Connor's not familiar with Guy. There's that time at the wedding and the bachelor party... But aside from that all he knows about Guy comes from one of Guy's least favourite people on Earth: Hal Jordan.
But they were mostly good things. Mostly.]
Hey... Guy. You don't look injured, are you helping out at the clinic?
they can be peas. in a pod. lantern pod. idk!!
[. . . Pause. Well. Kind of. Because technically what he's doing is hovering, and technically he's doing that because he feels responsible for Kyle right now (also, always). But that counts as helping out, in his mind.]
And you need somethin'?
glowing peas.
radioactive peas ;;
space peas???
space edamame?
OLIVER / Wood outskirts / early morning
“Bring your bow.
PS: I’d like the arrow back too
-GA”
Along with it was direction to specified location and a time.
Two days later.
It's Connor in plain slacks and shirt, quiver full of arrows on his back and a bow in his hand. He's drawing the string back to his bow, and letting it go without an arrow loaded in. It’s been a long time since he’s done this. While his hand isn’t holding a yumi and there’s no ease in doing this in the open where anyone can see him and the possibility of being caught with a weapon is probably pretty high, the first pluck of the bow vibrates through him and it echos until it dissipates at his core.]
no subject
He's... Well, if he's honest, he's nervous. He hasn't seen Connor except at a distance since the guy patched him up. And while Kyle said he passed on the thank-you for that, the fact that Connor signed the note 'GA', says- what does it say? Does it say anything?
Oliver goes to the designated location with his bow unstrung, wearing the gear Batman gave him like psychological armor. He has his own quiver slung across his back. Connor's arrow, though, he hangs onto, twirling it around and between his fingers in distracted little motions as he approaches.
He stops well outside of what could be considered the social standard for 'personal bubble'. There's a moment of silence, awkward on Oliver's part, and he manages:] I feel overdressed.

Training Oliver Queen, who would've thought...
He reaches a hand out and speaks with a sincerity in his voice that's so blunt it would seem fake for a lot of people. But this is a man who grew up in a monastery.]
I'm glad you made it, Oliver. I was looking forward to this.
no subject
Spoilers: when he's not pretending to be
Bruce Waynea playboy asshole, Oliver is not very good at people. But Connor is smiling. He was looking forward to this. Which means it has to be okay for Oliver to have been looking forward to it himself - and he was, under the nerves, under the worry over what Connor thinks of him.]

STEPH / Metal / idk sometime
But the people needs to feed and in any case, Connor can defend himself and the crates of skinny carrots (they look sort of like carrots) and yams (they don't look like yams but what else can he call them - long roots that's purple on the inside doesn't roll off the tongue). Metal's the destination due to its ease in distribution but it's a tricky one. Connor pulls his hood up and keeps alert.
When eight Kedan stops him, he said to himself well, at least he's almost at the finish line. He throws his hood back and attempts to talk his way through it. When the first fist comes, he dodges easily. It's the second one that comes from behind, aimed low and at his sides, that catches him off guard. Hell of a thing to be caught off guard. The consequences is a kick that he barely blocks with his hands and of course, they're raiding the crates now.]
no subject
The one that kicked him gets a sharp batarang to the shoulder, hopefully giving Connor time to recollect himself, as Steph moves to interrupt the crates being raided, kicking the legs out from one kedan and flicking out her staff to drive into the chest of another.]
no subject
Well too late now. He pulls another kedan down and slams him against the ground before going to help Steph. The rest starts to scatter, knowing they can't stand a chance if these two Foreigners alone took out almost their whole group already. They take one crate with them but Connor considers it a victory still.]
Uh. Hey! ...Hero! Thanks.
