[He turns to look at her, surprised that someone would be so rude as to butt-in in the middle of his deal with the shopkeep. Then he's surprised at a whole another thing. Small turtle, though. He shouldn't be too surprised but here we are, Connor's looking at her a bit too blatantly to be polite. It passes thankfully and he speaks.]

I'll make this quick. If you could just give me a couple more minutes.

[Then his attention goes back to the shopkeep, who's just about to get annoyed about these Foreigners all up in their face.]

I understand, and I can pay for this, I just need time. Do you know what monthly payments are? Can we do that?

[Ororo returns the blatant look with an arched eyebrow, the very epitome of unimpressed by his strained polite reply. Any expectation that she'd back down over that really needed a visit with reality in her books.]

[She rolls her eyes, crosses her arms, and starts to tap her foot. It's when he goes into talk about not having the funds to be shopping? That's when she throws her hands up, letting them drop back down onto her hips.]
