Situation: The fires are put out and repairs around the city have begun. With life preserved, eyes turn now to what exactly crashed down into the ocean.

The majority of fires are reported as under control and repair crews start forming up to bring Keeliai back to her pre-scorched splendour. This is all well and good, but there remains a cluster of debris that crashed into the ocean drawing the attention of salvagers and Foreigners alike. Boats and teams form up and head up to scour the ocean, where the cluster rests upon an expansive and ancient coral formation and can be reached within ten metres of the surface.

[So Dorian is just going to carefully look through the rubble. Don't mind that he keeps glancing back at Combeferre in concern and is prepared to divetackle Combeferre and take a beam through the head for him if that is what is required for not letting another person die because of him.]

[philosophe]

[Aw, Dorian, he would be flattered if he knew you were so concerned. However, he is oblivious to that (and to the state of his clothes), kneeling in a pile of rubble and sifting through it eagerly.]

Oh! I think I may have found something.

What is it? [Dorian immediately heads over to look.]

[philosophe]

It looks as though it may be a box like you had earlier.

Ideal for your prying pleasure? [yay his box is safe]

[philosophe]

It certainly looks as though it might be, yes.

[depicted]

You'll have to tell me of the results. But you're satisfied, we should get out of here. [Or a collapse building could kill you no big deal if you wanna stay.]

[philosophe]

Of course I will. --And yes, probably, the roof is creaking a bit, isn't it?

[depicted]

Yeah, I think it is. [So he's just going to walk back to the exit, keeping an eye on Combeferre in case of catastrophe. HE IS WORRIED, OKAY.

Of course he should just have not brought Combeferre in here if he was so worried, but he's not very bright.]

[philosophe]

Then I had best hurry. [And so he is, scooping up the music box and hurrying for the door himself.]

Do you suppose there is anything else we might find? Not in here, perhaps.

[He holds up the partially collapsing doorframe just to make sure Combeferre gets out.] There's still plenty of debris scattered around. I'm sure there's something interesting about.

[philosophe]

Do you know what these things are called? I must admit I have never seen anything of their like before. [He's out now, safe and sound -- and so is the music box, cradled in his arms.]

It's a music box. Had those not caught on by the 1830s? [Dorian is always a little surprised when something that he is accustomed to is new to someone else. He's too used to being the person in the room with the most ancient birthdate.]

[philosophe]

I have heard of them, certainly, but not seen one before. I believe they are made in ....Switzerland, perhaps? At least the ones I have heard of, anyhow. [Courfeyrac's parents might own one, but not 'Ferre's. He's too middle-class.]

The best ones still often are. The technology is easier to handle now, so it's more widespread.

[philosophe]

Ah, of course. Yet another thing I must learn about, I think.

That must be terribly exciting to you, to have so much yet to learn.

[philosophe]

Oh, of course! I only wish I could do more, but it is rather difficult here.
