Situation: The fires are put out and repairs around the city have begun. With life preserved, eyes turn now to what exactly crashed down into the ocean.

The majority of fires are reported as under control and repair crews start forming up to bring Keeliai back to her pre-scorched splendour. This is all well and good, but there remains a cluster of debris that crashed into the ocean drawing the attention of salvagers and Foreigners alike. Boats and teams form up and head up to scour the ocean, where the cluster rests upon an expansive and ancient coral formation and can be reached within ten metres of the surface.

Shayla! You're certainly looking a lot better. [Because that first day is such an "ugh" 24 hours.]

Yeah, I think I should try having someone else test those out. [If that thing had been pointing the opposite way; well best not to think about that.]

Actually I was coming to see if your suite made it through yesterday and this sort of happened. [A pile of deadly-things and a pile of things that were more aesthetic.]

I couldn't open any of those black cylinders, so I sold them to some kedan who was collecting them. [Making some spending money was always a plus.]

I'm feeling a hundred percent. [And because she's a fire wielder, Shayla was able to redirect the fire so most of the surrounding area took only minimal damage.]

Sounds like a good idea, especially that feisty little guy...looks like he could bring on some real hurt if in the wrong hands. [She's thinking the same thing, actually. If that ball becomes more trouble than it's worth it might be better off at the bottom of the sea.]

Ah, well, I didn't take much damage. I was able to manipulate most of the fire and get it all under control. Though I couldn't do much about the falling debris. You didn't suffer too much when all that stuff came falling to the island, did you? I know the Kedan were in an uproar.

[Shayla hadn't thought about selling any of her findings, though it probably wasn't a bad idea]

[Impressed Korra is impressed at Shayla’s actions given the crappiness everyone gets when they get here. Not something she was sure she could do if that mini-armageddon happened when she first arrived.] Glad to hear you’re up and at’em!

[Yesterday, oh god yesterday.] No, I managed to get out pretty unscathed. Actually I saw a lot more of the city than I had planned for this whole week. Not only back in the Metal, but also in the Earth and in the Water. Putting out fires, stopping buildings from collapsing, helping trapped people, and healing injured turtles people.

[Being forced to help your arch nemesis when you’d rather just beat their face in. Forever.]

Real wake up call, my muscles are still sore. Last night was the second time I passed out instead of sleeping. [If she could just earthbend some rocks to just break her back in a thousand different places that would feel heavenly.]

But why waste the day, right?

Yeah, well this place keeps you on your toes...if this [indicating the wreckage all around her. She's a girl of action after all.] is any indication. So much for the R-n'-R.

You were pretty busy huh? [Shayla still hasn't gotten beyond the Fire Sector] I managed to explore the Fire Sector pretty thoroughly...it was almost like the fires didn't wanna go out in this place. Even for me it was kind of a handful.

[She'd get one fire under control and then another would pop up somewhere else.]

Once this is all over I plan on making some hot springs, I understand that there aren't any natural ones so it'll probably be an undertaking [she's needs somewhere to perform her cleansing ceremony] a nice salt bath'll fix those aching muscles and I could definitely waste a few days on that.

Work does that. But money, so it’s all right.

Yeah, I’m really hoping that wasn’t some kind of seasonal weather thing. [Because seriously, yesterday can just go die in a fire somewhere else.]

Not the way I’d want to check out the Fire Sector either. [All the aches in her back yearned for a hot springs, especially a natural one.] That would be the best thing in the world right now. I haven’t visited any of the spas here in the Fire, they’re probably expensive and crowded. [And seriously, forget that. Odds are the kedan running it would probably make sure their experience was as miserable as possible to prevent foreigner return business.]

Speaking of which, don't sweat it if the reconstruction crews are jerks. Everyone kind of is right now. I don't know if they told you about the rationing, but the locals are kind of blaming the foreigners for that. [For stupid reasons beyond Korra’s patience.]

I take it that this is the first time the sky's come crashing down in your experiences here, eh? [There's no such thing as "the friendly skies" even in Shayla's world.]

You're right about that, if you want anything good in this sector you'd have to sell your right eye to get it [Shayla might have digs here, but it's far from the high life] I wouldn't mind going into business for myself and a hot spring is my kind of business...but the labor is another story.

[She could make it look natural, salt is no problem, water is no problem, but getting the earth to do what she tells it to is another story.]

Oh...oh yeah I've heard about the food rationing. [And guess who looks very displeased with that...someone likes their grub.] Why the hell's that our fault anyway? It's not like we asked to be brought here in the first place.

Oh yeah, definitely a first for me. And I would really like it to be a “last” as well.

[Korra blinked a few times in surprise.] Sounds like all you’d need is a good spot and just make the natural hot…springs… [Yeah, it just dawned on her and suddenly Korra is all kinds of excited.] What you need is an earthbender and as luck would have it, I’m the only one on Tu Vishan! [For the moment.] Making craters is one of my specialties. [Not exactly something most should be proud of. Ever.]

I know! Those jerkfaces don’t get that they outnumber us foreigners by A LOT. [But that doesn’t mean she can just not protect them whether it’s an apocalypse or just a simple mugging.] But there are people trying to help out. I think I heard about a food bank on the network and there’s this wolf that can just make food grow. [She’s saying this with all seriousness because she knows how crazy it must sound.] Vegetables and stuff, not like prime rib or anything. [THAT would just blow her mind.]
