Characters: Shayera Hol, and anyone who runs into her!
Date: June 23rd
Location: she'll start off in the Earth Sector, but she'll wander to the other sectors throughout the day.
Situation: her arrival on the turtle!
Warnings/Rating: it's Shayera, so don't expect her to be too friendly. other than that, not really expecting anything too severe.
[Honestly, Shayera had been in worse situations. Like the Thangarian invasion, or the Cadmus Crisis, and countless other that would no doubt take too long to list. But most of those incidents, she chose to get involved in. This one? Not so much. If the "Emperor" had asked and given her a good reason to come, she might have agreed.
But no, they dragged her here, most likely while she was sleeping, and so far, no way of getting back to Earth. Needless to say, she didn't feel like playing along. Sure, she'd at least go to her apartment in the Earth Sector and check out the room they gave her. Well, at least it's got plenty of room for her to stretch her wings. But after spending a little time in her room, she explores more around the Earth Sector, trying to ask people for a possible way out, or even more information about the place.
Once she's gotten her bearings in the Earth Sector, she flies over to the other sectors, moving onto the Fire, Wood, Water, and Metal Sectors in that order. Expect her overall demeanor to be frustrated, muttering curses under her breath occasionally.] If I see those guys again, I'll take my mace, and shove it up their-- [She cuts herself off, since people are starting to give her looks. Of course, her scowl isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Approach at your own risk.] I dare this day to try and get worse.

[So it comes as utter surprise, as he's making his way across a field with a few trees, that he sees a winged shadow and looks up -- well. That. That sure is a Thanagarian, and the ring confirms it. He's been spotted, probably, so he doesn't crouch, he merely... waits, to see what she'll do. He might not be wearing his uniform (and the bow and arrow don't exactly scream person of interest), but there's no mistaking a green power ring as he shields his eyes from the sun to get a better look.]

Yes'm. [I'm off-duty for moping doesn't even cross his mind. Somebody might need him.] Kyle Rayner, atcher service.

[And then she mentions John and Kyle's expression lights up. His teacher. His friend. His brother - not the one who's just left, but the other half of him, who anchors him. His voice fills with warmth.]
Yeah, I do. Friend of yours?

Water Sector - the suites
It does mean that she notices a shadow passing over her in the middle of her exercise routine, which results in her hurrying outside to see who's flying around.
When she sees a pair of wings and a mace on the silhouette, she tries to whistle - and fails, because apparently that's a skill she never learned to do without powers - and waves instead.]
Hawkgirl!
[She can't make out Kendra's face from down here, but who else could it be?]
no subject
[Though this Canary looks... a little different?]
no subject
She stops smiling when she sees the expression on Shayera's face and apologizes immediately.]
I'm sorry. I actually thought you were someone else. Won't happen again.
[Obviously not even Kendra. But she doesn't look like Shiera, either.]

water sector;
[If there's a single thing Leo likes about this place, it's that. When his head isn't clear, it's easier than it's ever been to find a starting point and run - no city lights, no wailing sirens, no screeching tires. Just him and the rooftops. Sometimes he misses it all, really; it's home. But for a temporary situation, the silence isn't an unwelcome change.]
[It's precisely the fact that the Water Sector is so quiet that alarms Leo when he suddenly catches a shadow soaring over the rooftops. He glances skyward, and his heart drops when he sees the silhouetted figure of a winged humanoid passing overhead.]
[An avian? Here?]
[Yeah, no. He never expected to see one on Tu Vishan of all places, but last he checked, letting those guys fly around on the surface was a bad idea. Leonardo immediately abandons his rooftop running and begins tailing the figure, doing his best to stick to the shadows while keeping up with the avian's blazing speed.]
no subject
Although she wasn't at her peak right now, she couldn't shake the feeling she was being followed. It might be paranoia, what with her not trusting anyone at the moment, so she'll choose to keep quiet for the time being. Her hand is staying firmly on her mace, however.
no subject
[Luckily, the avian - for whatever reason - decides to go groundside shortly thereafter. He instantly starts cataloging details: female, young, and armed. And she knows she's being followed. Either she's got excellent intuition or he slipped up, but either way, she doesn't seem to know where he is. That puts him at the advantage.]
[It's one he isn't willing to act on quite yet. He still has no idea what she's doing out here, or if her suspicion that she's being followed will affect her next move. For now, he continues to silently follow behind.]

[... she says while keeping a firm grip on her mace. A girl needs protection.]

Fire Sector
Honestly, the sight of wings is something of a relief. It means someone new is here, somebody Kara can probably talk to. That and she wonders if the stranger's ability to fly is hampered like Kara's is, given that she clearly has wings and Kara does not.
She hesitates when she realizes how angry the woman is, but, well, the suit her father gave her should offer some protection in addition to being nostalgic. ]
Um, hello! Are you having some trouble?

As far as anyone has been able to tell, there isn't one. [ Though she's adopted this place as her new home, she isn't unsympathetic. She remembers the feeling of wanting to get out, to go home. How could she forget? ]
If it's not rude to ask, are you able to fly? There's a barrier over the turtle that could badly hurt you if you run into it.
no subject
Yeah. I was flying earlier, but I thought it might be good to stay on the ground for a while. But a barrier, huh? [She looks up toward the sky, curiously.] They keeping something out? Or us in?

metal sector, late night because bat reasons?
With Cassandra and Stephanie gone, he adapts. His hours get longer, his workload heavier. Delegation never was a prominent word in his vocabulary, and it's almost too easy to cut himself off from outside assistance or contact.
He's perched on one of the higher buildings in the Metal Sector, senses alert. Listening. Learning. This place isn't Gotham, but Bruce has been here now nearly a year, and he knows it nearly as well. It's no longer a hindrance, he's no longer fighting blind. He's just fighting, period.
Even in the moments of comparative peace that Keeliai enjoys, Bruce has never been able to relax, or to entertain the idea of that peace becoming anything more than a temporary lull. That sense is sharpened and heightened when he hears the distant sound of wings. The time between beats suggests a span far outstripping any of the local fauna, and Bruce stills automatically, scanning the skies.
When he sees her, his eyes narrow briefly. Thanagarian. Armed. (Nth metal?) and flying under what is presumably her own power, given that there doesn't seem to be an apparatus for her wings. She's a block away, moving away from him, and after a moment he follows, silent as a shadow.
He's neutral on the matter of Thanagarians as a general rule. They tend to stay out of Gotham, and though he's met several of them (and worked with the Halls, and the others that have served under the Hawkman/Hawkgirl or -woman codenames) enough to form an opinion of them as individuals, he doesn't care for them as a whole. Their wars are not his wars.
But if she's truly carrying nth metal--
Hn.
He stalks her across the rooftops, but has no intention of revealing himself to her without due cause. If she's any kind of warrior, odds are she might notice him first.]
always bat reasons
It may have been pretty late as it was, but this was better for her. Now she didn't have people staring at her as she flew by, giving her looks, or pointing. It was quieter, too, so she could think a little clearer now, process everything she learned today a little more.
On a giant living turtle. Different universes. Powers weakened. No way out. Been attacked before. There was plenty more, but that was just what she remember off of the top of her head. She'd write all of it down and more properly once she got to the apartment, but she wants to take a look around the last sector before returning to the Earth Sector. She'd been keeping a good eye on her surroundings thus far, glancing around the area if she heard something or thought something moved. Of course, Batman is in a whole other league, so it's always been harder for her to know if he's hiding nearby.
For now, Shayera is blissfully unaware as she lands, choosing to walk more around the industrial area, though that mace is staying at her side.]
no subject
Still, despite the fact he'd been through here only hours before and catalogued the structures succumbing to decay, there's already been a shift. He steps on one beam and it creaks ominously. His lips quirk down into a scowl and he melts backwards into the shadows.]

water sector; the latest tag sob
When he notices someone very agitated, with wings that seem familiar, he pauses, frowning.] Hawkgirl? [He hasn't seen her since Brightest Day, since Carter had a breakdown when Kendra didn't return from her wind elemental state.]
nah, you're fine
But if there's one thing that can get her attention, it's that name. Her fist clenched just hearing it, and she shot a look in the direction it came from.] I don't go by Hawkgirl anymore, Aquaman. Just Shayera.
[But, like with Dinah, there's a few things different about him.] I didn't know you were here, too. With one heck of a trim, too.
no subject
Shayera, then. [Yeah, something is definitely different here. He's trying to place which other timeline she might be from, because he's not entirely sure she's from his, since she seems familiar with him. Him with longer hair?] I've been here for a few months already. I take it you remember me with longer hair? I went back to my original look not too long ago. [Long story there. "Hi, I died, became a zombie, and then when I woke up alive again my mane and beard were gone." Also look who also has both hands!]
