February Catch-All
Characters: Obi-Wan Kenobi and YOU!
Date: All of February
Location: Keeliai and Tavimbi
Situation: Getting to know you and Landfall!
Warnings/Rating: None that I can think of?
Obi-Wan is still somewhat adjusting to things here on Keeliai. So the fact that the giant turtle makes landfall on a continent is surprising and piques his curiosity.
He can be found either wandering around the streets of Keeliai or Tavimbi. Willing to talk to just about anybody. Especially the Kedan and the Tavimbi natives.
Upon sensing a power that is not unlike the Force within Tavimbi, which he comes to know as the Xunutane, he will make checking that out his highest priority.
Feel free to find him just about anywhere!

Somewhere around Keeliai | after learning that Obi-Wan is here
So he scoured the streets and concentrated on the Force. On Obi-Wan's presense. It had to be somewhere. Moving past various buildings and people, he felt lost. Both physically and emotionally. Being ripped away from everything he knew was an experience in itself and he was not one to cope very well.
Again that is why he needed to find Obi-Wan.
Finally growing frustrated with his efforts, he takes to the rooftops of some buildings. And from there he -- is that him? He eyed a figure who looked suspiciously like Obi-Wan. Beard. Robe. All the usual things.
He kept to the rooftops as he drew close. Only dropping over the edge when he was right overhead so that he'd land on the ground right next to the Jedi Master. Because popping up out of nowhere is what he does.
"You don't know how long I've been looking for you."

"Anakin! Stars alive, don't scare me like that."
Wait.
"Anakin? ... You're alive and you're... whole."
Speaking of things that normally wouldn't come out of his mouth...
no subject
"What? Of course I am. Did you expect something to have eaten me, Master? I thought you knew me better than that," he said and then gestured around him.
"Besides I am usually the one rescuing you."
no subject
Obi-Wan falls into silence, looking Anakin up and down in a measure of shock and disbelief followed by sadness. He knew that people could come from different points in time but... he hadn't been ready for this.
He doesn't know what to say. Obi-Wan can't bring himself to do the usual banter that Anakin is expecting.
no subject
After a moment, he takes a small step forward. This is too awkward. He needs to do something otherwise they'll just stare at each other all day.
"Master, what's wrong? I know this is all confusing but don't worry, we'll get out of this like we always do."
no subject
"Anakin..." he says slowly, softly. "There's no getting out of it this time. At least not any time soon. People are brought here not only from different worlds, but from different times. ... I'm from your future Anakin, and a lot has changed."
no subject
"You've gotten into some hallucinogenic spores again haven't you ..." He trails off. That had to be it.
A small part of his mind whispered that no, Obi-Wan spike the truth, but Anakin refused to listen. It was easier to believe the older Jedi to be delusional than to even consider this to be the truth.
no subject
"Search your feelings Anakin. You know that I'm telling you the truth."
He then sighed and dropped his hands from his friend's shoulders and shook his head.
"Perhaps I've said too much. It might be best if you didn't ask any more questions."
Because he's physically unable to hold himself back if this continues, and he's not sure Anakin is ready for this. ... Obi-Wan isn't sure if he's even ready for this.
no subject
He shook his head and stepped away for a brief moment. So much confusion swirling around in his head. He needed time to think. For some reason Obi-Wan didn't particularly want to talk about it.
But maybe ... Maybe -
"You're right. We shouldn't speak out here. Who knows what could be listening. We need a place - somewhere private where we can discuss our next action."
Did Anakin really listen to anything Obi-Wan said? Yes, but he was going to still treat this like they were on a normal mission. Just another day like any other.

Nodding in understanding, Obi-Wan glanced down the street.
"I know a place. Come with me."
And with that, he would lead the way towards the Midnight Hotel.
no subject
"How long have you been here anyway?"
He said while following. After all, a few people told Anakin about Obi-Wan's existence so he must have been around long enough to make an impact.
no subject
"Nearly three weeks now."
Whether he's stranded here or on Tatooine it makes little difference. With the exception of not being able to watch over Luke. But then, from what he's gathered that won't make a difference anyway. Thus Obi-Wan has been in no hurry to get back.
no subject
He shook his head. Perhaps the slow realization of everything finally set in. If it is true, then he needed to know what happens. Well, depending on how far in the future Obi-Wan is from anyway.
Either way he's going to ask.
When they are safely inside somewhere anyway.
no subject
It's their reality now. And while Obi-Wan is still in a bit of shock to be walking and talking with Anakin again, he knows its real. And slowly the realization is creeping in that this... isn't a bad thing. This could be the second chance he never would have had back home.
As long as he doesn't blow it.
It doesn't take long for them to arrive at the hotel seeing as there's an entrance in very sector. Once inside, he leads Anakin to a room.
no subject
Anakin refused to really accept many things. The death of his mother. The terrible thing he did right afterwards. The fact that people die at all. Just simple little things.
He is very glad when they reach a room. Finally a place for him to relax and think. He doesn't get to do much of that anymore.
"By the way ... Have you seen anyone else? That we know I mean."
Padme is what he really wants to say, but he holds back, for now.
no subject
But Obi-Wan knew of his struggles, if not the direct source of them. And he knew it wasn't easy. He had no one he knew to turn to when he arrived, but he was glad to be here for Anakin.
"No, I'm afraid not. As far as I know, I was the first from our galaxy."
But then another important thought comes to mind as he seats himself within the room. Motioning for his friend to do the same.
"What were you doing before you arrived here?"
Its good to have a point of reference if he had to explain things.
no subject
"I uh," the words fumble as his focus comes back to the situation at hand. "We just returned to Coruscant after rescuing the Chancellor."
He then sat back to give Obi-Wan a look.
"And you contested the number of times I've come to your rescue," he quickly added.
no subject
"With good reason I might add. Cato Neimoidia still doesn't count."
And he will continue to insist this until his final breath if he must! Plus he was hoping to lighten the mood if only a little bit.
no subject
For a moment Anakin forgot about the possibility that Obi-Wan is from the future. For a moment he fell right back into line with how they are normally. The banter. The teasing. All easy things that make for a quick escape from the truth of reality.
no subject
Huff. Aren't you ever going to let him live that down, Anakin?
Obi-Wan found himself falling back into it too. Despite everything that had happened, this was the Anakin that he knew and loved. It brought him peace and comfort to be able to talk to his friend like this again,
no subject
Anakin could still picture the entire thing in his mind, plain as day. It brought a chuckle to his lips. A brief moment of serenity. Until the realization of everything Obi-Wan spoke of earlier set in.
"What did you mean when you said we couldn't leave? Are we stuck here forever?"
Because he couldn't deal with that. He couldn't deal with being away from Padme for that long. Just the idea tore a hole in his heart.
no subject
"Honestly."
But the sudden change in topic is a welcome one, she if a bit sobering. Lowering his hand he looks Anakin in the eye.
"No I don't believe so. It seems that people come and go. However, there are those that have been here for years."
no subject
"But what happens to home if we are gone that long? The Republic. The other Jedi. The Senate. Without us there to protect them anything could happen. We can't just sit back and let this happen. You and I, we'll find a way back and everything will go back to normal."
As normal as things can be. In the back of his mind he does remember that Obi-Wan stated he was from the future, but that seems like such a minute thing. Something that hardly matters.
no subject
"Oh yes, we can. Have patience, Anakin. Time as we know it stands still while we are here. Once we leave it will be as if we were never here."
Or at least that's the theory he's read about. Supposedly from accounts from other foreigners that have gone and come back.
no subject
By this time, Anakin gets up and just starts pacing back and forth. The idea of sitting back and being idle clashes with everything he believes in. Besides, there's always a chance that Obi-Wan is wrong.
And if he is ...
Anakin's mind fills with all the terrible possibilities. Things he can't let happen.
