[Open Log] Don't you Worry 'bout a thing
Characters: Members of the Foreigners' Guild
Date: Beginning of May
Location: Welcome Center
Situation: Trying to figure out just how this thing is going to work
Warnings/Rating: none to start; will update if needed

Today, the Center is...not quite closed, because it was never closed, but the sign out front was a little more specific than usual: indicating that those who had chosen to align themselves with the Foreigners' Guild to stop by at their convenience for a group discussion. Word of mouth was the primary means of getting the information out, but just in case, Zatanna was nearby with a checklist making sure to get names of not only who showed up, but of any known members who did not. So that they could be contacted at a later time and kept in the loop.
For her part, the 19-year-old was sitting casually in her favorite armchair by the fireplace (though currently lit, was emitting very little heat, indicating a more magical nature. For ambiance, mainly) and not-quite-facilitating the entire process. Her body language gave little indication of wanting to step forward as official leader, although she was ready with answers for any who may have had relevant questions.
[[ooc: Characters are encouraged to make their own top levels for open-ended discussion of the state of the Guild; if any of them want to talk to Zatanna specifically, indicate in the subject level and she'll come around.]]

"What, miss me already?" she called out to him jokingly.

Blink blink. "When did you come in?"

"I'm here because I'm in the Guild for now, but don't expect me to talk or care about it beyond not ruining the city for the rest of us." He crossed his arms as if to emphasize that point, ever playing the tough rebel without a cause. But it was pretty obvious he did care, or he wouldn't have come.

She lingered near the back wall, quiet, not really having much to say anyway.

While she was fairly certain the young woman still wasn't intending to join, she'd meant what she said previously about everyone offering their opinions, regardless of Guild affiliation. To her, the camaraderie and emphasis on individual importance was key to making this whole thing work, so when she got up and approached, it was with a friendly smile and an open mind to whatever conversation was about to ensue.
"Glad you could make it."

"Well," she replied, finally turning her gaze to the magic user, "The Foreigners are the only family I can remember, I want to see this work."
Despite having chosen to not be one of their guild, they were still family.

May 5th: Spokesperson Vote
{{ OOC: This is a top post. The first Comment will be the Top Post for all Nominations. I'll throw up a vote post later after it looks like everyone has gotten their word in!}}
Nominations - Open to All Foreigners Guild Members
So without further ado, I now henceforth open the floor forethwidth et cetera for nominations.
Nomination: Zatanna
[ She was pretty calm about the decision. She'd been thinking about it for a few days now and well... this made the most sense. If she was destined to lead anything in Keeliai, it didn't look like this was it. ]
Zatanna has been here since before the destruction of Malicant, and has been a steady source of support for Forigeners, including her continued support of this very Welcome Center. I think she's the obvious choice to represent the Foreigners to the city.

Voting!
Can everyone raise their hands for Zatanna or me?
[ OOC: Just vote as normal and pretend it was a show of hands. ]

The choice to stay with the Foreigners Guild had been both easy and expected, considering the WC and also Zatanna's choice. He wasn't sure the whole Guilds thing was actually a great idea, but then he hadn't been present for the Families' way of doing things, so he was missing some comparisons.
Most of the time, he's in the front part of the Center, and ready to offer greeting to anyone who comes in.

So he arrives at the Welcome Center on the day everyone says to, with very little idea on what to expect, and there's already more people in the lobby than he's ever seen here before.
Oh, good! It looks like there's a doorman. Probably not called a doorman, though. Zelos offers him a short salute with one finger, and a smile. "This is the place for the Foreigners thing, right?"

"Maybe we should get you a hat and a bowtie," she called out to him from her seat, smirking. "Bet they'd suit you."

She was in a fairly good mood when she arrived, despite all the recent chaos and some of her own personal spats. This was what she had wanted when she proposed a council last year - a coherent government, no matter the shape it took. After checking in with Zatanna, Pepper claimed a free chair and prepared to watch the proceedings.

"Hey. I didn't know you were thinking of joining the Foreigners' Guild."
If anything, she would have bet money on the Justice and Arbitration, thanks to her work with Valids and the KPD.

He found a quiet, shaded corner and leaned against the wall, arms folded and expression neutral.

For that reason, Zatanna waited a little longer than usual before approaching. Taking in the mood of the room. She remembered something about him being a vampire, but that didn't worry her. Unless he was a vampire made of Nth metal, which didn't seem to be the case, she was confident she could take care of herself should it come to that. Even if there weren't protective Wards all around the Welcome Center.
"Can I get you anything?" She eventually stepped up in her role as hostess, approaching with a friendly smile and even tone. "We don't have any blood to spare right now, unfortunately, but just in case your kind can also have cookies or other snacks too."

When he arrived, however, he found that the best quiet, secluded corner was already taken.
Without a flicker in expression, Kratos came up to Devin and likewise stood against the wall; not leaning, but with his arms crossed, facing outward.
And said absolutely nothing.
