OOC INFORMATIONCITY OF KEELIAIINSIDE THE BOTTLETHE WORLD EATER

Arriving in Kithika is unpleasant for the most part. Transport through the glass vessel deposits you in the middle of a thick and murky swamp, with air so hot and humid it feels as though one is breathing through a wet towel. This is a place of perpetual night and there are no celestial bodies visible overhead through the twisted vines to break up the blackness, making the only light visible that which comes clumps of marsh fungus that emit a steady glow in a variety of muted colours: pale blue, whitish green, watery mauve. The only other light comes from those who can generate it themselves and that will reveal numerous broad-leaved trees, in some places standing too thick to move through. Below, knee-deep water laps in swirls at their legs, accompanied by the occasional slithery feel of something moving in the bracken against wet limbs, gone before it can be identified. A variety of strange noises from creatures of the swamp fill the air with buzzing and hoarse croaking, interrupted by the screech of mosquitoes the size of hummingbirds darting past and hungry for a meal.

OOC NOTE: Characters will not be able to progress past the Temple and the Grounds for 48 IC hours after which point, the way to continue onward to find the dragon will be discovered. The second log will be posted on the 17th, to help spread out the tagging. Thank you!

The trees started screaming again, and Tony couldn't help but grit his teeth. It wasn't as bad as it could have been without the armor to distort some of the noise, but he can still feel the high pitched wails as Korra's fire incites a chorus of misery in the swamp. He raises both arms are fires a blast of energy in the same direction of flames, trying to help clear a path for them.

"What? I can't hear you over the sound of dying woods."

This doesn't actually keep Tony from firing another blast at the trees, which only causes them to scream even louder. Between the two of them, whatever is waiting can no doubt hear them from miles away. So much for taking the enemy by surprise.

Assuming they even get to the enemy at this rate.

"They couldn't have dropped us off somewhere closer to the goal? And less... wet?"

Her ears were starting to ring, but she did take the time to smirk at Tony’s comment. "Makes waterbending easy to keep the fire from spreading too much." She demonstrated by bringing up some of the murky water with a quick kick and it put out the fringes of the fire.

You probably already know this, but don’t fly over them. They don’t like that.” The burn marks on her arms were proof of that.

"Well, that's handy." Tony always did have to admire the convenience of bending. He didn't understand it, but he appreciated it. He watched as Korra put out some of the flames, whistling inside the armor.

"What, they have a problem with flight?"

Honestly, Tony already knows what happens when he tries to fly. But there's just something about being told what he can't do that makes Tony want to do it more. So he takes off, straight up into the air with both thrusters on full, blasting above the trees. Moments later, they shift into his path, seeming to rise up and stretch out tendrils of vines that snag him and drag him back down. It takes a pretty hard burst of firepower to break free, and of course Tony lands right back in the murky water, head first.

"Ugh! Okay, that was not a good plan."
