"Water Sector, I'm guessing?"

It didn't take a detective genius.

Kyle nodded. 'Is that what it's called?'

"Original, huh?"

There was only the slightest hint of sarcasm. At least it was pretty easy to figure navigating and meeting locations. Hard to miss a giant sector on fire when looking for the Fire Sector.

"Each sector's named after an element. Apparently, your assigned living space has something to do with which element you relate to best."

'I've heard worse.' His brow creased slightly in confusion. He'd never thought of himself as a water type of person, but he guessed since there was no Air Sector or whatever, that was the one that fit him best.

And he did like it much more than the others.

Zatanna probably wouldn't've pegged herself as a Wooden person, either. Until she got a chance to meet her neighbors and reflect upon Keelai's idea of someone who belonged there. Then it began to make a lot more sense.

"It's really not so bad, honestly. I've never had the chance to live in a treehouse before." Being a city girl and all. "Even if the branches tend to block the view of the sky from my window."

'They're really cool.' They were. He certainly wouldn't have minded living here - but he saved that opinion for when he could get a better look at what was around his living quarters.

"We can probably head to Water first, if you like. Have you gotten a chance to see your apartment yet?"

[imaginate]

'Not really - I didn't stay there very long.' He would probably get lost if he tried to look for it right now. 'What's there to do around here, in Wood Sector?'

"...climb trees?"

She's only partially joking; she'd been out on the branches more than once. Usually on her way to the roof.

'Paintball?' he offered. There was plenty of space to hide, too.

...actually, that wasn't a bad idea.

"You know, if we could find a place that sells the equipment, you could."

[imaginate]

Kyle quickly checked to see that no one was looking, ringed up a small green paintball gun, and then let it fade. He grinned wickedly. 'Or we could make our own.'

"We could."

She could've summoned one right there and then, but hers took a little more effort than a simple construct. Besides, he obviously already knew she was capable.

"I'll mention it to the others next time I see them."

[imaginate]

'Sounds like a plan.' He walked abreast of her now, looking curiously at what was around them. 'What controls the weather around here?'

It was almost too easy to answer 'magic'. She didn't have an actual answer, either, but she shrugged instead.

"Far as I know? Nature."

[imaginate]

That was a surprising answer. 'Not magic?'

"I honestly have no idea. This whole place is filled with it, and I can only sense when magic's being really heavily used. Not what it's actually being used for."

[imaginate]

He thought that was worrying, especially since some of his ring's abilities weren't working. It felt wrong not being able to contact Oa.

'So, where to now?'

"Up to you, really. Pick a Sector."

[imaginate]

'Anything good to do in Earth Sector?' He'd liked what he'd seen and hadn't had much time to explore it.

"That's usually where I go clothes shopping. That, and check out all the cool statues." The entire sector was practically covered in them; it was easily one of the more textile-oriented and sculpting areas.

[imaginate]

Kyle looked at his civvies. He'd ringed them up in a hurry, and that would be using up power from the ring, which he had to conserve. He nearly groaned. 'I'm gonna need new clothes. Do you mind taking me?'

"Of course not." She wasn't exactly addicted to shopping, like some teenaged girls, but she would never say not to an impromptu trip. "It's just two sectors over. Should we walk or fly?"

The second option would be her first instinct, to save on time. It was Kyle's decision, though, depending upon whether or not he was trying to remain incognito for the time being.

Flying was quicker, but he didn't know how many people had seen them together already - and anyway he had to go shopping as himself, not GL. 'Might be better to walk - if we fly, you'll have to carry us both.'

"I could." Just for the record.

A few passengers wasn't enough to really drain her. Any more than that might've been questionable, but if it was just her and Kyle? No problem.
