"Food's good? Other than that, not much."

They fly from Fire over Earth, and the scenery changes. Kyle likes this sector, and he relaxes immediately and slows down a little to take in the sights. 'Okay, what should I know about Earth?'

Dick can see Kyle relaxing. Either he's afraid of fire (doubtful) or Fire sector brought back bad memories. Maybe he should ask. Later.

"Middle class, moderate levels of gang activity-- though they tend to peddle in weapons more than drugs, good place to get some clothes. If you want honest peddlers, this is the place. Don't get too offended if they're kinda brusque. That's just how they are in Earth."

'Does every sector just attract people with a certain kind of personality?' It was like one of those astrology questions and Kyle immediately thought it was kind of stupid to say, but it really never hurt to ask.

"I never really thought of it that way. I think it's more the mood of the sector affects the people there. When in Rome and all that."

Kyle's question doesn't seem to faze him at all.

'Makes sense. Anything else about Earth before we head to Metal?'

"No, I think that's it."

Unless you want meticulous Bat detail about exactly what buildings work best for grapples and where each public bathroom is.

Kyle doesn't need to know those things, thanks. He changes direction and heads towards Metal - sure enough, soon they're flying over something straight out of Blade Runner, but cleaner. Kyle's used to cities, but he's not familiar with the airspace, and he's less comfortable here than he was in Earth.

'How big's this place anyway?'

Knowing where a bathroom is always good information to have, though.

Robin considers.

"About the size of a major metropolitan area. Not nearly as big as Gotham, though."

[imaginate]

Much smaller than outer space, which meant less worry about using too much of the ring's power. He could fly without a forcefield, for one. 'You guys must be at home in the city, huh?'

"In some parts more than others-- Metal is probably the closest to Gotham. Highest crime rate in Keeliai, but nowhere near Gotham's level."

That's kind of an unfair comparison. Nothing is on Gotham's level.

"How about you? Where are you from, back home?"

[imaginate]

Nothing is near Gotham's level. For a moment, Kyle was really, really glad he's not in Gotham, or at least in a place completely unlike it.

'When I was on Earth? New York City.'

"So this isn't too different. You know, not like living in a rural area and suddenly ending up in a big city."

He knows about making big adjustments. It's not fun. And he wasn't even on a turtle then.

[imaginate]

'Try living in outer space and then ending up on a turtle.' Kyle shook his head. He couldn't even believe he missed the daily dangers of space.

"Okay, you definitely got me there."

He's never even been to space.

[imaginate]

'Don't worry - you'll get to see space in a few years. The Watchtower's up there, right?' He wasn't sure if it was in orbit or on the Moon, but it was definitely up there.

"So you're a Leaguer too?"

It's a safe assumption, considering even he didn't know about the Watchtower until Roy let it slip.

[imaginate]

'Yeah, been one for a pretty long time.' Almost his entire superhero career, which was more than most people could say - people like Dick had been training long before Kyle had even begun to think about fighting crime. 'Wait, what do you mean "too"?' No way Dick was a Leaguer at that age. That was ridiculous.

Oh, he could so easily mess with Kyle.

Hmmm maybe he should take pity. The poor guy is new.

...nah.

"I mean 'also,' 'as well,' 'likewise.'"

[imaginate]

'Nice try.' Kyle may not be quick on the uptake but honestly. 'The version I know was part of the Teen Titans when he was the same age as you. What's your world's equivalent?'

"Just making sure you're still paying attention." Yeah, right.

"That's confidential." The Team is covert, bro. Or maybe he's just messing with you again.

[imaginate]

'Or maybe you guys just have a cooler name than "Teen Titans".' Kyle had been at this long enough to know. Then a thought occurred to him and he made a face. 'I hope you didn't let Roy choose.'

Dick snorts. "Definitely not. He won't even join the team."

[imaginate]

That's new. 'Seriously?' Wow, things were different in their world.

"He's warmed up to the idea, but he did call us the Junior Justice League at first."

Roy is very rude.
