"Three, but not all of them personally. You never answered my question, by the way."

If you're going to dig for info, buddy, he's going to dig right back.

Kyle had to hand to the Batclan, but he definitely wasn't as paranoid and secretive as they were, though hearing this from Dick still threw him off a little. 'Lantern number four, guilty as charged. Kyle Rayner, but just Kyle is fine.'

You'd better believe he'll be corroborating Kyle's story with Tim and Bruce. But for now, he'll tentatively trust him.

"Nice to meet you, Kyle. Welcome aboard the turtle, for what it's worth."

[imaginate]

'Thanks... uh. Likewise. Say hi to Bruce for me.' Kyle had no doubt he'd be summoned immediately when Batman found out he was here, but until then, he wanted a bit of time to himself to acclimatise. And besides, this wasn't like with Supergirl. Kyle couldn't trust himself to look at this pintsized Dick and not see Nightwing, and then wonder why Nightwing wasn't there - which was unfair.

"Pretty sure you'll be doing that yourself soon enough."

Oh, he's used to that. When the others look at him, he can tell they're seeing something different. What he'll grow up to be superimposed over who he is now. It bothered him at first, but now it doesn't. They can't help it and, based on what Damian said and his brief conversation with the other him, he grows up to be pretty awesome anyway.

"I'd give you the grand tour, but my way of getting around isn't as fast as yours."

'I could give you a lift.' From what he remembered, Dick had always loved flying. Now that he was a kid, it was hard not to offer. At least it would be a little more enjoyable before he had to report to Bruce directly.

Actually, he could try asking. 'Point me to the nearest Batcave?'

"Nice try." Like he's giving away the locations of the bunkers to anyone.

"But if you're still offering me a lift, I'll take one."

It had been worth a try anyway. He ringed up a construct of the Batplane fitted to Robin's size. 'Hop in. Where're you headed?'

"I was going to give you the grand tour, right? Unless you're not interested."

[imaginate]

'Okay. Where to first?'

"Let's start with Earth."

Since it was pretty obvious that Kyle didn't want to stay in Fire.

"By the way, do you want the normal tour or the Bat-tour?"

Bat-tour involves telling crime stats for each sector o-oops.

[imaginate]

When in doubt, the Bat-tour was the better bet. Nobody would know the city like them. 'Bat-tour,' he said, flying in the direction of Earth Sector.

"Alright. We're leaving the Fire sector-- I know, creative names-- which has the second-highest crime rate in the city. It also has the most active gangs. I'd use caution before doing anything major when it comes to taking down the gangs. There was a gang war here not long before I showed up, and it's safe to say they really don't like foreigners."

[imaginate]

'Noted,' Kyle replies. 'Anything else about the sector I should know?'

"Food's good? Other than that, not much."

[imaginate]

They fly from Fire over Earth, and the scenery changes. Kyle likes this sector, and he relaxes immediately and slows down a little to take in the sights. 'Okay, what should I know about Earth?'

[hackingyoursensors]

Dick can see Kyle relaxing. Either he's afraid of fire (doubtful) or Fire sector brought back bad memories. Maybe he should ask. Later.

"Middle class, moderate levels of gang activity-- though they tend to peddle in weapons more than drugs, good place to get some clothes. If you want honest peddlers, this is the place. Don't get too offended if they're kinda brusque. That's just how they are in Earth."

[imaginate]

'Does every sector just attract people with a certain kind of personality?' It was like one of those astrology questions and Kyle immediately thought it was kind of stupid to say, but it really never hurt to ask.

[hackingyoursensors]

"I never really thought of it that way. I think it's more the mood of the sector affects the people there. When in Rome and all that."

Kyle's question doesn't seem to faze him at all.

[imaginate]

'Makes sense. Anything else about Earth before we head to Metal?'

[hackingyoursensors]

"No, I think that's it."

Unless you want meticulous Bat detail about exactly what buildings work best for grapples and where each public bathroom is.

[imaginate]

Kyle doesn't need to know those things, thanks. He changes direction and heads towards Metal - sure enough, soon they're flying over something straight out of Blade Runner, but cleaner. Kyle's used to cities, but he's not familiar with the airspace, and he's less comfortable here than he was in Earth.

'How big's this place anyway?'

Knowing where a bathroom is always good information to have, though.

Robin considers.

"About the size of a major metropolitan area. Not nearly as big as Gotham, though."

[imaginate]

Much smaller than outer space, which meant less worry about using too much of the ring's power. He could fly without a forcefield, for one. 'You guys must be at home in the city, huh?'

"In some parts more than others-- Metal is probably the closest to Gotham. Highest crime rate in Keeliai, but nowhere near Gotham's level."

That's kind of an unfair comparison. Nothing is on Gotham's level.

"How about you? Where are you from, back home?"
