The early morning hours of May 21st are broken by the sound of a low lying explosion and a veritable rain of fiery bits and bobs such as molten hot metal and space debris. Those out and about in the very early morning (three hours before dawn) see a meteoric shape streaking overhead and leaving a debris trail. Those interested in following it may find themselves distracted by the debris raining down across Tu Vishan, starting fires and damaging buildings turtlewide. Tu Vishan certainly is, for the great turtle grinds to a halt amidst all this and a trace of concern for the little ones on his shell can be felt in the minds of many.

Looks that way. [He stretches slightly.] Let's get to work then.

[shorttempered]

[Nods before flying ahead slightly as he keeps an eye out for looters or any semi-destroyed homes or businesses.] So what can you do powerset-wise?

[Stops to lift up another large chunk of debris. Nope, nothing there.]

[Vic jumps after Mark, not being a flying lizard. He lands when the debris is lifted, looking a little relieved when there's no one under it.]

Lizard-like agility, wall crawling, healing factor, and the big arm's on the super strong size.

[He's got another power or two but he really can't imagine how his tongue or camo would be useful right now.]

What about you?

[shorttempered]

Flight, super-speed, super-strength, superhuman reflexes, accelerated healing, invincibility.

And for the record, I don't have super-hearing. People lately have been assuming I do so I feel like I should lay that out there.

[Though he can hear the sounds of more looters with his regular hearing just fine.] ...Seriously? [Sighs and flies at them.]

[Victor lets out an impressed whistle as he uses a flagpole as a springboard to follow after Mark.]

Probably because people are expecting everything about you to be super after that list of powers.

[His smile fades a bit as the sound of looters reaches him too.] It's like they want to get their butts kicked. [He's just going to leap and kick at the nearest one.]

[shorttempered]

[Shrugs] They were inherited.

This is just ridiculous. [The one Victor kicks goes down, but two more go to defend him. Mark grabs one of the ones not running at Victor and tosses her at another looter.]

It about how you use them, not where they come from.

You're telling me. Where the heck are these guys even coming from. [Leaping, Victor lets his tongue lash out to grab one looter around the ankle. Coming down behind them, he sends the looter head over heels.]

[shorttempered]

[Looking anywhere but Victor.] Tell me about it.

Whatever hole these guys always seem to come from whenever theirs a natural disaster, I guess.

[The looter being held by the tongue lets out a yelp and falls and immediately starts trying to free himself. His buddy runs away. Invincible tackles one of the remaining looters just enough that they go down and don't get back up.]

Natural, unnatural. They're a bunch of opportunistic jerks.

[Vic pulls his tongue away but jumps to plant both feet on that looter for a hard kick.]

[shorttempered]

Pretty much.

[The looter goes down, and Invincible scares off the remaining one.] Is there anything even worth killing yourself for in these places?

I don't think so. These stores are just art and supply places. Fabrics, statues, paintings.

[shorttempered]

Is anyone that into art? Jeez...

[alpha_squad_leader]

Usually only art-themed super villains.

[shorttempered]

You actually have art-themed super villains?

[alpha_squad_leader]

I'm pretty sure there's bound to be at least one. We've got a guy named Stilt Man so why not an art guy.

[shorttempered]

I'd say "tell me you're kidding," but I just remembered the Elephant's still running around somewhere.

And no, he doesn't have the strength of an Elephant.

[alpha_squad_leader]

Then why does he call himself the Elephant?

[shorttempered]

Because he's bonded to an Elephant suit.

We don't ask.

[alpha_squad_leader]

I...does the suit give him any powers?

[shorttempered]

I guess he's stronger than normal? But I made quick work of him so I have no idea.

[alpha_squad_leader]

It sounds embarrassing to be him and to fight him.

[shorttempered]

Oh man, you have no idea.

Do the other heroes make fun of you when you do it?

[shorttempered]

Thankfully no, because at this point I think we've all run into him at least once.

How he always gets out of jail I have no idea.

What about you? Ever been mocked because of your supervillain?

Maybe the guards don't take him seriously enough.

Not really. My team doesn't really have it's own villains anyway. Usually people mock the villains for getting beat by us...or just mock us.
